Hi there - I have a 2019 G05 X5, uk model, which came with a factory fitted electronic swivel trailer hitch.

It’s been working fine for years then today I pressed the boot button to auto swivel he hitch down, it unlocked but didn’t swivel. Then button light went from green to pulsing red and a tow bar unlocked error appeared in I drive.

I was able to reach under and manually swivel the hitch down and it locked into placed but the button has stayed red and it will not retract. I can here a small click at the trailer module and motor when the button is pressed.

I’ve scanned for codes and have several including:

802830 - fully automatic trailer tow hitch: engine: not initialised
802832 - fully automatic trailer tow hitch: intermediate setting detected
802857 - fully automatic trailer tow hitch: anti repeater active
80284D - fully automatic trailer tow hitch: Hall effect sensor fault

I have tried lots of searching but cannot find any obvious answers. Any help would be really appreciated
