I came across another post here saying the 2021+ X5/X5M will support Digital Key Plus in the future. Can anyone confirm if this is actually coming? We just picked up an iX for my wife and the Digital Key Plus is so much easier vs having to tap the handle and place the phone in the cradle.

You need both keys in the car while pairing it. What I would recommend is resetting or clearing any digital key card in iDrive and then try to repair it with both key fobs in car. If that doesn't work, you can always get the dealer to order a replacement card for like $60. I had to do that once with mine after I cracked the card in half ... involved some alcohol and unintentional somersault.
