High Beam Failure error message
I have a BMW X5 g05 model. It has laser headlights which adapt based on cars in front and road signs etc. I keep getting an error message saying right high beam is not working, but lights are working fine. The only thing that actually happens is the auto beam feature cuts out. Beam lights are working and I can use them manually.
BMW have put it on diagnostic and they say there is nothing showing. They reset it and it works ok for a while then error shows again. Car is now out of warranty and can't go back to BMW as they will say they aren't seeing any codes or ongoing issue. Any ideas what is causing it or where to look/investigate ? |

Had a similar issue with my X7. Dealer flashed new firmware and problem hasn't come back...knock on wood.
See below service bulletin. https://bmwrepairguide.com/sib/630821.pdf

Hi Elthox - I don't have any diagnostic tools so don't know if a diagnostic fault is showing or not. Also, thanks JaTe I will ask the dealer to do this when the car goes in for an oil change. Hopefully it resolves it without needing a headlight change which is what some are saying on other forums.
