new BMW owner (just picked up a 2022 X6 M50i), but I've had these tires on my 2021 Subaru Outback since the fall of 2023 and I've been absolutely thrilled with them including driving through multiple blizzards in the Rockies.
The Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive was quieter than the OEM Yokohama, better traction in every situation, more comfortable ride, and even improved fuel mpg. It's for sure NOT a dedicated snow+ice tire, but even still it did just fine in the Colorado Rockies all ski season last year and gave predictable behavior. Low speed cornering in the snow/ice was a little interesting, but I managed just fine. For an all-weather tire, I've been pleased, but again, this was all in a Subaru Outback so bear that in mind with it's forgiving suspension setup. My X6 M50i has the 20" wheels, so 275-45-20 and the current Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S RFT have about 60% of their tread I'd say. I'll probably swap these out in mid October, so I'll let you all know how that goes. |

I just ordered a set of the weatheractives for my 25 40i. The 20” Bridgestone run flats it came with are dog shit in the snow and ride pretty harsh. I’ll post an update once they’re installed. I’m guessing everything will improve. Had to buy a spare but not a big deal.
