Review of my 2025 BMW X5 M60i Marina Bay Blue
Working with Sales Manager Omar at BMW of Macon was an absolute pleasure and well worth it. He made the whole process smooth and straightforward, securing the best deal in town!
I’ve had my new X5 since last Thursday, and I’ve already put over 570 miles on it so far (though 300 of those came from the drive home). My first impressions? BMW has truly refined this model since my last X5 M50i. The fit and finish are noticeably improved, and the X5 feels more solid overall. Initially, I was unsure about the nearly all-touchscreen interface, but I’m already used to it—and it’s actually great! I also opted for the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system, and all I can say is WOW. The sound quality is stunning, with so much depth and clarity across all genres. The bass is tight rather than boomy, which took some getting used to, but now I’m starting to really appreciate it. When you hit the right song with the right frequency, the subs deliver a fantastic, rich sound. This system is a 10 out of 10! Overall very quiet ride on the highway even more quiet than my outgoing M50i. The Marina Bay Blue color is absolutely amazing. I have always been a Black or White car guy but this color pops in the sunlight and changes with different lighting. I have received my compliments from this color than any other so far in the last 5 days. I live the 747 wheels which is the same as my outgoing X5 which already surprises me that everyone gets the other 5 star style wheels. I feel these look amazing on it. I haven’t fully tested the engine yet, but even within limits, it’s impressive. The power feels seamless across the whole range, and I’m looking forward to opening it up completely. Seems the hybrid electric motor really helps off the line. One compliant I would have for BMW for the next X5 is to add maybe another 6 inches to the back seat for people. Seems this is one area they keep missing each new model of the X5. This isn't a X3. I would expect more leg room in the bigger X5. Overall, this X5 is an outstanding upgrade. Looks amazing and I agree about the rear seat room...when I compared to my 2022 X3, the leg room felt about the same. I'm sure it's so they can maximize the cargo area as that's a competition metric. I passed on an RX500h because the cargo room is small for the size of the vehicle (among other reasons).

I definitely agree with the comment about the leg room in the back. When I bought my xDrive40i back in May I noticed that the leg room was very similar to my 2020 X3 that I was trading in. However, the entry into backseat of the X5 is much easier compared to the X3 and I'll say the overall comfort of my 2025 is amazing! I definitely enjoy driving it all over as I've put 9600 miles on it since May! Enjoy the ride!

Congrats! I have the same color and its indeed beautiful, when clean. I find it does show dust much easier than my lighter blue cars and certainly a lot more than my prior white X3. I'd have gotten different wheels, but need the all seasons and didn't want to hassle with swapping tires and wheels for winter.
