Please Critique My Build - xDrive40i

As the title states, please critique my build. Any options you would add or remove?

Oh it’s going to be a nice build!

My two thoughts:

1) if you are sensitive to body roll in an SUV, consider the m adaptive professional suspension. Comfort will be the same as in a car with stock steel springs, but the active anti roll bars will keep body movements in check

2) consider dropping the massaging function in the seats; my personal experience is that there are two downsides to massaging seats:

(I) they are less comfy than their non-massaging version; this is due to the fact that the massaging gizmo takes up space in the seat and there’s less room for the actual soft padding, therefore: no massaging = more padding = softer, more cushioned seat; and

(II) in my personal experience of owning several cars with massaging (before I knew better), it’s an expensive gadget which has no use; never once did I find myself thinking “oh it’s now perfect time for some massaging”; also, I never ever regret not having it in my current X5

Other than that, I would leave the configuration as is

Looks good… I personally would ditch the massaging seats for the reasons already mentioned above.

Well done. I have the massage seats and use them when on the road. They are very subtle but my wife insisted. I’d prob save the $1k if ordering again. And a brown trim might pair better with coffee interior but that’s subjective.

My wife loves them. She says we can never get another road trip vehicles again without them. I use them once and awhile on roadtrips and they keep the blood flowing.

Which leads us to the same conclusion as usual - invest in test drives and check out different options to see if they work for you

Definitely can’t just read what people say in a forum thread

Seems like opinions on massage seats are quite divided! Funny enough, my wife is actually against them, so I might skip them.

Thanks for all the feedback so far!

Pretty sure you can't get the Adaptive Pro Suspension on the 40i

Okay, must be market specific. It’s possible in Europe

I second this...they are not a "therapeutic" massage as you may get in a dedicated massage chair (nor should they be) so don't expect higher levels of pressure but it's enough to be pleasing and mitigates sore spots from sitting in one position too long and can extend drive time before feeling like you need a physical break.

Perfect. Skip them and spend the $1k elsewhere.

Great build. Any brown seats are my favorite.

If I were going with an M Sport build with brown seats, I prefer the blue M brake calipers over the red. Something about blue and brown go better IMO than red and brown.

Keep us posted!
