20 sDrive X5 - Odd Cracks on Frame

Took my car to a local shop to install mass HAS and they point out what looks like minor cracks on the frame. Has anyone else seen something like this on a 2020 or newer X5. Mine is a SDrive so not AWD but it seems odd. The cracks are on both sides under the protective plastic shielding. They do not go very deep but is a bit of a concern. Note the vehicle only has 38K miles and was bought used from a dealership.

Were you able to poke around to see if it maybe some king of a caulk or sealant that is drying and shrinking.

I may have to drop my shield and look at mine to investigate.

That was my thought as well. It looks like a coating and the coating is cracking due to due suspension flex.

Never went to far into it. I eventually just traded the X5 and went back to a M4 but now G82.
