I asked in the Netherlands (one service advisor) and he swore to me theyre problem free with only one having a small problem which was resolved (nothing to do with engine). I chickened out to buy one in 2024 as there were many problems reported here so I went with the 40i model. Very happy with my choice

Thank you all for the reply’s. This reassures me somewhat. If you think about it, it makes sense that people are more likely to speak up when there is a problem than when everything is fine.
Just going to keep my fingers crossed I won’t receive a ‘monday’ car … |

2025 X5 50e here- build date of 11/24 and I picked up at the end of December. 800 miles and absolutely no issues so far. I’ve had an X7 M50, X7 M60, and an I5 M60.
The X5 is by far my favorite so far. |

I put about 17k miles on a problematic 2024 50e with several CEL's in the 1 year I owned it. I was able to get support from my dealer to get out of that and into a 2025 50e for minimal cost to me. I picked that up in November and so far no issues after about 3k miles. There is no other PHEV SUV I would rather own but if you don't care about the PHEV the 40i is an excellent vehicle without the CEL concerns.

Sorry to thread hijack but curious as to why the x5 is your favorite amongst that roster of cars. You have the full spectrum there. Besides the vanilla b58 motor.
