Yep. It snowed in east Aladamnbama! Good thing I’m retired, don’t need to go anywhere and have an awd Forester if we do!

What color interior?

Ours will be gone by tomorrow. Did you guys get much snow? Our relatives in Irmo only appear to have received a little. We were just there this past weekend.

Just need appropriate tires. Tires > Clearance >> AWD. If you have summer tires, 10WD won't do any good on ice and snow

It was -12F here in town this morning...ours will stick around for a while! Now, that's colder than 'normal', but not unheard of.

My interior is coffee.

We only got a dusting in upstate SC.

Looking forward to getting the car in mid-February!

I have a x drive, but I can relate - never thought we would ever get more than a dusting here near the coast in NC.

FWIW, while tires are a big part of the grip on any vehicle, all-wheel drive does help when there's water in any state, oil, or something like sand or other gravel on the road. Then, what happens if you decide to travel outside of your home area? You may encounter some nasty weather, so anything that can help should be looked at as insurance...you hope you never use it but are glad if you need it.

Snow IS the reason to get Sdrive. Not the other way around. Until my last two BMW SUVS, my previous BMWs were all RWD.

A rear-wheel drive vehicle with proper tires can outperform an all-wheel drive one with the wrong tires for the conditions...but, put the proper tires on an all-wheel drive vehicle, and it will give you the best performance.

Indeed, my previous Land Rover on Blizzaks was nearly unstoppable. It was big, heavy, and underpowered, so I'm not sure I could even get the wheels to spin under the worst winter conditions.

Yeah but in 1989, it snowed a good 4” there. We came home to find that our well pump had frozen and split. I drove around Wilmington in an ‘87 Porsche 924S, one of very, very, very few cars out as I tried to find a plumber supply house which was open. Found one, bought the parts and had it repaired the next day.

Good times. lol

Your car will handle OK with all weather tires.

My AWD with summer tires cant go anywhere.

That was my daily driver for about two years in Phoenix. It was a bit of a challenge when it hit 110+.
