I now have two safety recalls on my 2024 X5M. The first is for an issue with the brakes. Now I got a letter about the Valvetronic OBD Software. My shop says they do not have the parts available to complete the recalls. Has anyone been able to address these issues?

Not sure where you are but mine says the parts are available and I have an appointment this coming week for the brake recall (it’s the second one same issue apparently) and the second one can be remedied by a software download I believe. You can check status of your vehicle and it’ll say remedy available on the bmw recall section on their site using your VIN.

I did get an appointment for the software update in Atlanta, GA. At first the dealer said the recall was not in their system, then I sent them a copy of the letter from BMW and they decided that I need it and they could do it. As for the brakes, they still say there are no parts available unless the brakes actually fail, which I think is ridiculous.
