Hello Everybody,

I am looking to Lower my X5 M60i. I want to do it and use the best options possible on the market. The car is equipped with Adaptive M Suspension Pro. Are there any lowering kits available on the market? Any recommendations or tips provided will be appreciated.

I’ll be looking into the AC Schnitzer springs. They give a ca 20mm drop, so should not reduce the shock absorbers’ longevity too much

Other option is H&R, which drops the car above 35mm, but squeezes the shocks’ travel too much according to my friend who runs a tuning shop (and who advised against the H&Rs due to considerably increased operating pressures in the shocks and thus their potentially reduced lifespan)

Then, there are the various KW solutions, but that’s a considerably greater cost, and the suspension is generally much stiffer than stock

I’m in Europe, so AC Schnitzer are generally available over here. Not sure if they ship to US - but maybe some distributors exist or would be willing to import?

What you said plus aesthetics is probably the biggest reason why people do it.

Just ordered my AC Schnitzer kit. Will post pictures end of April, as I’ll be fitting them when I swap back to my summer wheels
