How Does BMW ConnectedDrive subscription impact My BMW App?
Vehicle: 2018 BMW X3 (G01) 30i
Context: All ECUs were flashed to the latest I-Level two weeks ago. Immediately after, the My BMW app stopped updating car status and remote commands (lock/horn/climatize) failed. BMW Support claimed my ConnectedDrive services expired, which seemed like a plausible reason for the app stopped working. However, after I hooked up ISTA to diagnose, the app suddenly started receiving fuel and vehicle status updates again. Despite this, Remote Commands still do not work. Now that I realize BMW Support wasn't exactly correct, I turn the attention to the fault codes (Both unknown status) related to ZGM (CD0600) and KOMBI (CD1410) after ECU flash. The Questions: Since status updates resumed after an ISTA session, I suspect a configuration or initialization issue rather than a purely expired subscription. Do these specific ZGM/KOMBI codes point to a FlexRay initialization issue or a missing "Vehicle Profile" after the flash? Has anyone had to re-provision the ATM/Telematic module through ISTA/ConnectedDrive portal after a major I-Level update to restore Remote Commands? |

Expired ConnectDrive services only affects real time map data and map updates. My remote commands still work.
