Well a 330i ZHP was my first car. I'll probably be with BMW for a while. Porsche was the dream, but with how rapidly they're going upmarket I don't think I can justify it.

One of my first more serious "toy" cars was a 1988 325is. Loved it. I was hooked. Then I ventured off into various other sports/muscle cars. I have had as a weekend toy:

1991 Nissan 300zx 2+2 - liked the car but it was a tad slow due to no turbs.
1970 GTO - Fun to take to cruise nights & car shows but not sporty at all, LOL.
1987 Lotus Turbo Esprit - Yes, awesome car and a thrilling ownership experience. No issues or serious problems in 35,XXX miles of ownership over several years.

2022 Subaru BRZ - A true back to basics "fun" car to toss around. But... it was unrefined, somewhat anemic power plant and just clicky-clacky. Still a ton of fun for $30K. But I needed something more substantial.

2026 m240i - Love it so far, all 1200 miles Ive driven it. . I rekindled my BMW Bug. The m240i is a great platform and I can see me keeping this for a while.

Eventually, Id like to get my hands on an Audi R8. Maybe next time. Damn, I need more cash.
