I installed a stealth hitch and moved from Richmond, VA to Phoenix, AZ. PS - the M50i is a BEAST, truly love this car.

As for the stealth hitch, it's an amazing product which was incredibly easy to install. The instructions said 3-4 hours. I took my time, double checked things and stopped for a beer or two. Ultimately took me around 5 hours. I did it by myself, so aligning the bumper took a little longer. I also installed shadowline exhaust trim while the bumper was off.

Very impressive and brave!

Once my 22 M50 shows up I need to install fog lights in the front (delete plates for 22 look ugly) and install the maxton designs front lip. Going to let a local shop cable my escort radar detector and front+rear dash cams.

There is a tow package you can get with it which includes the tow attachment and harness.

The harness requires you to tap into wires in the rear. If you go to the stealth hitch website you can download the instructions and see how detailed they are. The only deviation/tip I would add is adding shrink wrap on the end of sleeve that the harness wiring is in. It is difficult to feed through the rubber grommet if you don't have shrink wrap to make a smoother transition to that sleeving.

Great info. I'll have to check it out. I've been kicking myself in the ass ever since I took delivery for not getting the factory hitch.

Great job - I need something like that for my X5M for bikes.

Quick question. How do you remove the rear fender flare? Looks like it just pulls off since i don't see any bolts for it. Does the side skirt need to come out to let the flare out?

Thank you I'm really happy with it and get a ton of compliments on the color! A friend of mine got his Dravit X5 with the blue brakes and without extended shadowline and I think mine looks better lol but I may be biased!

I think so too. It looks nice on white for sure. I have dark graphite. While not too contrast, I really like it. Maybe because I still have some grey pieces that give the contrast. My wife, usually not in this stuff, gave me compliment too
