Update mine went back to scheduled for production today. I didn't call to see if I'm back to week 24 or still bumped forward to 28.

I really want to know too. Typically in stock car is above MSRP because people don't want to place order and wait 5 month, they just walk in and pay more for the car. My guess is this is a in stock car with weird options/color combo. It is probably "one of". Most dealer I have talked to, wants $1-2K above MSRP on in stock car. Maybe after some negociation, it will back to MSRP, but 9% off is 7K off for a 80K X5, not that I have known around here

It is a unicorn and not relevant to the current marketplace. As was mentioned in the post it is a base X5 so no options and possibly also a former loaner vehicle so many are configured like that and sold as new under 5k miles. Not worth the time even discussing in my opinion.

Actually my management will generally do better on a car in stock vs placing an order. They want to sell more "now" in order to get more allocations next month..

It only for limit time, my friend order x3 and x5 at the same time, they both get 9% off from the dealership(not include incentive yet), cuz they try to sell more in stock car to get more new car coming in, and also 2023 is coming.

Good luck.

Wow. All over the nyc tri state and beyond best I’ve gotten is 1k off Msrp and msrp seems more the norm. I see plenty of X5s available, at 9% off I’d grab a 50i next week for sure

Seeing how they don't make a 50i anymore I'd say that'd be pretty hard to get a new one next week. They currently make the 40i, 45e, and M50.

Even though the sales person told me 9% off on any gasoline X5 in inventory I think that this doesn’t include the m50. I think they had about 25 40i vs 2 m50 at that time.

2023 X5 45e

Trying to get in line for a 2023 MY X5 45e and trading in my 2021 X5. Anyone been able to get below MSRP? Not many incentives or discounts being handed out from what I can tell with my discussions with around 10 different dealerships today. Just curious if anyone has had any luck or found work arounds.

Thanks

Was that strictly incentives/promotions, ie. Loyalty Credit, Military Discount, Corporate Discount, incentives? Otherwise it would seem a bit weird you managed to negotiate 5% off MSRP on a 45e when there aren't remotely enough allocations for the 45e demand as is and there are near daily posts where folks are struggling finding a 45e.

We got $1,150 off MSRP - $150 for the lower tailgate power deletion (which I didn't care for anyway) and $1,000 off for the BMW loyalty discount and financing through BMWFS.

Even though I didn't take delivery until yesterday, we got the financing rate that was locked in back in March when we ordered the car. That saved us 0.59% off the rate available today and made it pretty competitive with our bank.

If you're thinking about buying a new BMW you should definitely look in to joining the BMW CCA. That's also a pretty good rebate if you have been at least a 3yr commitment member and have been a member for at least 6 months.

When we talk about % off MSRP or discount off MSRP, incentives are not included since they don't apply to everyone. The are noted separately similar to what you did.

Yep, I understand that but in this new normal when discounts are so hard to come by and ADM is sometimes present, it's nice to reenforce that there are ways to get a break - the loyalty discount for BMWFS use and the BMW CCA are a couple of those. Alas, I learned of the car club rebate too late to take advantage of it this time but this probably isn't the last BMW I'll buy in my lifetime.

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone gotten incentives for MY2023 orders? We're ordering a 2023 and most are saying they have no way to know what incentives, if any are being offered.

Most incentives run monthly so you won't know until early August. Year-long incentives like domestic military and graduate will be available and perhaps corp. I'm sure we will see loyalty on the list.

I figured loyalty (we finance with BMW financial). Thanks for the heads up!

I decided to open my options to x5 40i. I have been calling up and down the north east. Sure enough you can get below msrp on 40i. Brokers are offering it as well if you don't want to do the emailing/calling. There are loads of dealers with 30 plus x5s sitting on the lot. I had to push a few to go talk to their sales managers but sure enough, no funny fees being added outside of the regular.

That’s how is done. Just reach out to the ones that have 20+ in inventory and have them match a 6% off “you got from a broker”. Once you get one to agree have someone else beat it. I wouldn’t accept less than 6% but I would be targeting 8 or 9%
