I didn't see this thread initially before I posted my own. Mods feel free to combine them but I'll post it here...

What kind of discounts should I reasonably expect for a 2025 M60?

MSRP $97,975

My dealer gave me a selling price of 96,000 (2% discount) and increased my X3 M40 trade in value from the KBB number of $48,818 to $51,000 ($2,182).

He said "Due to recent changes, the difference between the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and the invoice price is not as significant as before."

Effectively a discount of $4,156 (4.2%). It also seems that dealers scoff at the KBB number much like Realtors do at the Zillow number, and rarely give you the KBB number so maybe that's also a good deal. The increased trade in value also decreases the tax burden.

Loyalty $500

There's also a listed USAA discount of $4,000

Puts my financed amount at $39,500

Still waiting to hear back from 2 other dealers. I'm thinking this seems like a reasonable deal though. And this is my local dealer compared to the other two that are out of state. What do you all think though?

EDIT: Scratch my original post. I got an offer from my other dealer of 8% discount and 1-2k more for my trade in.

Is there a new price guide for X5 40i and 50e USA

Looking for a more recent pricing guide for the 2025 model year for the X5 40i and 50e USA. I have gone back through the last 5 pages and only saw one posted but it was dated early 2023.

Thanks!

There probably is more recent than the attached but likely just typo corrections.

Hi all,

After extensive test drives of both the X5 xDrive40i and X7 xDrive40i, I've chosen the X5 for its perfect fit in my garage and its nimbleness on the road.

I'm planning a custom order for a 2025 X5 xDrive40i non M-sport equipped with air suspension, a space-saver spare tire, and few other packages.

While I've seen some Bay Area dealerships offering 10-12% off MSRP on remaining 2024 models, I'm wondering if it's reasonable to expect at least 10% off on a custom 2025 order.

Any insights from fellow Bay Area BMW enthusiasts who've recently placed custom orders would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Shop around, you should be able to get close to, if not the same or more, on a 2025 order. Let us know how it goes.

Post Lease rates

Hello fellow X5 buyers.

Is anyone getting a better money factor than 0021 for a 3 year lease on a 2025?

I have an appointment tomorrow to sign the paperwork on an order.

Thanks

That is the base rate but you can use up to 7 MSD's to lower it by .00042.

Is this guidance still accurate ?

I received this in 2022 when I was ordering my current X5 -- cannot recall the sageful person who shared -- is this still accurate? I'm in Northern VA -- any suggestions for dealer/salesperson appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE, Jim

Dealers do not automatically get a build slot at the factory just because they sell a vehicle. The dealers get pre-assigned build dates of when they can get a vehicle built in advance (at least a few months). You won't get a production number until an actual build slot has been assigned. So, no production number, there's no slot your dealer can assign to you (yet). Each month he gets slot(s) for some future date(s).

Its a very simple question: "what production week is your new car manager giving me for my order?" If they lie or refuse to answer, time to order elsewhere.

(1.) You should've gotten the Production Number (PN) the moment you placed your order - if your dealer didn't / won't give you the production number then they either didn't have an allocation or didn't have one they wanted to give to you.

(2.) The Production Number will have a build week attached - some dealers will have PNs with builds for, say, 3 months out (i.e., the production week attached to the PN is 3 months from now); other dealers might have PNs with the vehicle going into production tomorrow. It just depends on the Production Week that's assigned to Production Number the dealer allocates to you. If you don't have a production number then the factory has no idea you exist or want a car.

(3.) Once you have a production number you can go to mygarage.bmwusa.com (in north america), input the PN, and validate your configuration; you can also call the genius phone line and get your build week.

If they won't give you a Production Number & build week cancel the order and go to a different dealer.

Just remember that even if you get a production number, the build week may be months away so if you don't want to wait that long you'll need to find a dealer with a closer build date.

There are a number of items in there that were never true (timing mentioned) but in general the information is relevant.

In summary, allocations are issued to dealers each month. The number of allocations vary from dealer to dealer and month to month. When you place an order and they have an allocation, they should be able to give you the production number within a few days (some dealers do not enter the order as soon as it is taken). The allocations that are issued at the end of the month/beginning of the month are for two months away/next month. For example, if the allocations are given out at the end of May/beginning of June, they would be for July production. They are not given out many months ahead like was described above.

If a dealer does not have an allocation then the order is put into the order bank and those are filled on a FIFO method as the dealer gets allocations in the future.

I've seen people write about an "F12" trick via My Garage. I'm familiar with the Chrome Dev tools, but I am curious if you or anyone else can elaborate on which element I should be inspecting to see the details associated with my Production Number?

edit: Nevermind, I found it.

My May 2025 order of a 2025 X5MC was at MSRP - 5% (Not counting a $1,000 BMW CAA rebate).

1. Are you finding much better deals on an ordered 2025 X5MC? (I understand that deals made very from geographic location to geographic location and from model to model).

2. Are there any other hint of the direct incentives that I might request? last year that I had was a 2020 M5 Competition which I sold in 2022. if there are any BMW direct incentives, please let me know how I would acquire the incentives.

3. The BMW Website tracking for my vehicle indicates that it has been produced and has been sitting in the "Port" since yesterday. Both the dealer and I are located in California. Where is the "Port" in this case?

Thanks!

1. That is a good deal for an X5MC.

2. None that I can think of.

3. If it was juts produced then you must have ordered accessories as that "At the Port" would be for the Accessory Center. Your next "At the Port" will be for the KC rail yard and the final one for when it reaches its destination in CA.

Timing for Allocation Order/Discount

Hey all, new to the process on MY25 X5 40i allocation orders and best time to inquire to dealers. Ready to pull the trigger on a build, and per several recommendations here, 8-10% off MSRP seems to be a reasonable target. Here in the FL Panhandle, dealers here, and coastal AL/MS are not nearly that flexible. Any help as to which dealers could be more within range in the Southeast would be greatly appreciated. Guessing a June allocation slot/July or Aug production build, unless the dealers have already spec'd out their inventory? Travel for delivery not a problem. Many thanks!

50e or 40i? Guessing you are asking about 50e.

You are not too far from South Carolina and doing a PDC delivery from the factory. That could potentially open you up to buy from anywhere nationally though the dealer needs to allow for that type of delivery. You may want to consider that route to give you more flexibility. Based on other things I’ve seen posted, sounds like June has already been allocated so you could check with a dealer now who might be able to slot you in quick, though you may need to wait for July allocations.

PDC would be a great experience, but might not be as good a fit for us to drive out and have to tag team back. Hopefully looking for a major SE city (Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville) to fly in and Uber out to a suburb dealer within 50-80 mi. if the big dealers aren't very flexible. Curious when July allocations are made available.

Try the dealers around Atlanta and you should be able to do quite well. I believe LDT has a recommendation for one in that area.

Allocations are usually issued the last week of the month.
