Any updates from any of the guys who have had car with temp deletion of "S6P1 Temp. Entfall Remote Software Upgrade"?

We are supposed to be getting an iDrive 7 update in the 2nd quarter of 2022.

Really missing Apple CarPlay!

Like other deletions this must be hit and miss in terms of who is affected? Picked up my car a few weeks ago and CarPlay has worked since I got it.

Did you have the S6P1 Temp code on build?

In that case you might have an updated iDrive 7 OS.

Well, my car was due for delivery on the 5th May, so I chased dealer via lease company early on 4th to confirm delivery and ask for reg number so I could arrange insurance.

At 11.09am I was told it hadn't been registered yet as it was not in the UK, dealer said it was in California awaiting shipping next week!

By 12.20 it was in Germany, by 17.41 it was in the UK and registered, awaiting PDI!

Delivery now w/c 16th May.
Still waiting to confirm what exactly is deleted from spec.

Not impressed with the BMW experience so far.
[Although their car transportation system sounds like it's straight out of Star Trek]

BMW are a disaster at the moment when it comes to communication. But, they do get here at some point and they are fantastic cars no doubt.

Car has finally arrived

- in the rain so no pics yet.

The touch function delete is just the iDrive controller, the touchscreen works fine.
The lower tailgate is manually operated, not electric.
Haven't noticed if anything else I expected is missing yet.

It's much more car-like to drive than the RRS, planted to the road rather than floating over it.

Look forward to testing the G-meter when it's settled in a bit!

This was the only deletion on my build. Hopefully now fully rectified on
Friday as I miss CarPlay.

I got a text from our SA today that our car will be arriving without the power lower tailgate and BMW is knocking $150 off the MSRP for that missing feature. No other missing features were mentioned in that contact. His comment was "That's one less thing that can break." I remember way back in the dark ages people used to say that about power seats and windows - it's just one more thing that will break. My reply, "That's what the warranty is for."

Did the manual tail gate showed up when you searched your VIN details?

Not from the list of codes supplied by the dealer, only thing missing on that was HK.

I must have been told about the iDrive touch after it left the factory, and they never mentioned the missing power lower tailgate.

No Carplay on mine either yet. But I do like the integrated Spotify.

Great to see CarPlay up and running for you! I never had it in any of my cars until I picked up my 45e a few weeks ago and I'm really loving it. Just wish there were a few more options in terms of apps that were compatible with it like the one I use on my phone for our entrance gates...
Overall though, I don't know how I managed without it for so long!

I have had it in my previous 3 cars but the first one with wireless CarPlay. However I did have to wait for nearly 4 weeks. 😂 felt like forever!
It's just amazing. I use it quite often for my MS Teams meeting whilst driving. Besides the usual WhatsApp/Map softwares.
