STOP025076 is the original 'Evaluation of salt water damages' following the Idalia hurricane end of August.
STOP125076 is the newer one for the end of December incident (there was a video on reddit (deleted by now) showing the flooded vehicles in port).

And for my part I'm looking for a Defender 130 right now (stock) because the X7 will be scapped. Thanks for nothing.

Wtf! has sea water flooded my brand new car in the Bremenhaven port or what?

I will definitely not accept a vehicle that has fallen victim to a flood!

My x6 was produced on January 4th and to date there has been no further news about it. The dealer told me that there is a stop sale on the vin but BMW doesn't give him any additional information. I wrote to BMW Italia and I'm still stalling on the response!

I have news.
As commented, X5 ordered in May 2023 produced in August, affected by Idalia storm.
The dealer just called me, BMW Germany and BMW Spain has decided to do not deliver the car (risk of damages) and order urgently a new car for me. It will be produced this month and estimated delivery in June 2024.

There are copies of that video on YouTube.

Will they not order a new car for you?

This topic has nothing to do with your car. It's about the storm in August & December so your car is not affected.

I'm tired of waiting. As of now I don't have trust in this process.

Status 165 - 12.12.2023
Status 181 - week 4/2024

Dealer info me at last week that the car is STOP -status and BMW doesn't say why. I’m losing my nerves right now!

the real problem is that you don't understand anything, you have more information when you order a broom on Amazon

Were you able to verify the stop somewhere?

Yes. Dealer confirmed that the car stopped in Bremerhaven.

” Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): WBA41EU0XRXXXXXXX

That was a message to Faber. Yes, your car was probably affected but only BMW can tell for sure.

I can understand it. I will have waited 19 months when the car hopefully arrives. That's way too long :-(

I console myself, it's only 11 months even though they assured me delivery in 5 on December 23...

Whether my car is defective or not, in my eyes it is infected and this is the only reason why I ordered a new car in the first place. Shit and f!ck i say!

Hello guys. My X5 was manufactured on 12/14/2023 and arrived at the dealer in my city in Europe on 2/21/2024. There are no signs of salt water or any damage, but the car has a STOP status and the dealer cannot hand over the car to us. Nobody in the Czech Republic knows anything. I read here that someone still doesn't have a car half a year after the Idalia storm and that scares me a little. At the dealer, however, the car is fine, no damage, and we're just looking at it through the window... Does anyone know anything more?

Your car was manufactured four months post Idalia! Whatever the STOP sale code is......it is not related to Idalia. Search other posts here for STOP codes. Also add your VIN to https://www.bmw.at/de/footer/quick-l...-aktionen.html

Thanks man. I am in code STOP125076. Someone wrote here that this code was taken from him today. That could be a good sign. The car is fine.

It was STOP025076 that was removed from mine today, unfortunately I still have STOP125076 attached. Car departed plant 30th November and was involved with the flooding at Charleston in December, currently at Bremerhaven with no updates. BMW customer services are horrific

OMG! Did you hit both storms with one car? That's crazy.

I got my x5 50e delivered in January. It was impacted by the storm Idalia but passed the quality checks. Yesterday I got a call from BMW that they will replace it and order a new one with the same specs. They are afraid that there can be an issue on long term. I can keep driving the car till the new one is delivered.

That's not so terrible. I'm afraid they won't even give it to us and we'll have to wait for new ones. That's at least 3 months... Meanwhile, our car is completely OK, without any sign of salt on the chassis or anywhere else...
