If you ever buy black wheels, you’ll see why there so popular they don’t show the brake dust for a long time my vermilion edition came with Matt gray, almost black, and I can’t imagine ever having silver wheels again I wouldn’t even look at one that had bright finish makes the car look outdated

That has not been my experience. My black wheels start to to turn brown pretty quickly with brake dust on my F90. It might be the M brakes that generate significantly more brake dust but I’ve not seen much relief from having black wheels.

My wheels are Matt, so that might be the difference. They really don’t even show the brake dust.

I've just ordered an X5 t0e in Skyscraper Grey with the black 742m and red calipers (M Sport Pro pack). I think this combo will be good for resale later... hopefully with the black wheels not too scratched!

black 22’s, imo, are the best wheel option. They really make the car. Bad wheels kill the a cars entire look…742’s are the opposite.

Totally sold on the black 742m wheels now, as I was tossing up whether to look at those or the new 50e 745m non black ones. I think the all black will go better with the M Sport Pro all black grill/tail.pipes etc. Has anyone ordered the 22" 745m's?

For what it's worth, I love the look of the all black wheels and skyscraper gray combo. You won't be disappointed!
Speaking of potholes
Hit one on the Highway at night and I now have this doozy of a pimple on my tire

Thankfully, they were already due to be swapped….almost mustered 40k miles out of them before this

Most likely his 21inch would be a run flat / 22 non run flat which might be a better comfort.

Jesus, do the black rims (when shined) look awesome. After seeing these pictures, don't think I could do the 2 tone again.

I saw one in the dealership with all black rims on 22's and it sure looked good- just wondering if there's zero contrast with all black.

Thanks
I ordered the same color with the black 742M. Do you have a pics of yours?
