Its been 2 weeks and so far so good I'm really happy with KW, no sagging and still a comfortable ride.

no none of that, besides sitting lower in the car i find it not much different than stock set up ride wise, handling fells like on rails on tight corners at speed, I was worried that I would lose some of that as the stock X5MC handles great for a 2.5ton truck. No knocks or rattles at all. So far so good

Hey fellow Aussie
They fitted KW adjustable springs, lowered roughly 40mm with 12mm and 20mm spacers, you really need to get the spaces if you are keeping the stock rims, gives it a more aggressive stance, if that's what you are after. |

I was going to order one a month before the far arrives but will need to reevaluate that once I know if I can fit the Weistech turbo upgrade 😜. |

Anyone on here installed the H&R kit? Seems like a simple solution for those who would like a conservative reduction in height and do not plan on slamming the vehicle or adjusting to a custom height.

I didn't but a friend of mine used HR on his 2020 F95, not that impressed, he felt it didn't close the gap enough and felt the ride was a lot harsher than stock.

I didn't think it was possible to get a stiffer ride than factory. I may roll the dice on the KW set up. Curious to see what others have to say about it in the coming weeks after some miles are put on it.

KW in general is soft and not predictable for spirited driving. Also, not in stock. Why roll the dice if MSS is already proved that majority loving it.

On the M50i I felt they were too soft and had a bit too much bounce at speed. I was hoping the KW or the H&R set would be less but if the X5M/C shocks are stiffer and better paired for the MSS then I would simply purchase the MSS again.

In it's stock form the M50i was dialed in very well and taught even in "Comfort" setting however after MSS it could only be driven in "Sport" otherwise it would jostle occupants or cargo. Had DHP, DAP and 22" wheels. Hopefully you're right about the firmer tighter feel, because if the shock is stiffer then the softer spring on the MSS would pair nicely. If it is the same shock for both then I may just have the same result. It is a shame that BMW released the F95/F96 on stilts. Damn thing looks like it has shipping blocks still in the springs.

Any pictures lowered without spacers? I've seen many issues with vehicles and spacers and I know here in TX vehicles shouldn't pass state inspection with them....

Unfortunately Eibach don't do springs for the X5M comp but they do for the G05 If you want feedback on KW James at Prestige Auto has fitted MSS and KWs to an X5M Andrew Brien at Southern BM in Moorabbin is also very knowledgeable with these cars I just picked up a MBB X5M comp last week so looking now at different options. |
