I have the 22's and the ride is really good. Was actually surprised after how harsh the ride was in our X3 M40i with the 21's. BMW nailed this one for the target market. Can't wait to drive the M50i...

I have been on both sides of the wheel fence. My X50MSpt is my car as well as my families trip car so I purposely ordered the 20” M-sport wheels. The M brakes look great though it and they look large enough to match the wheel arch in a sporting manner. My 911C4S is another story as it doesn’t have to ride on roads from PA to FL. I go through Philly a lot and even 20” wheels need to be careful. I take delivery next week but did get to demo similarly equipped X550M and it road amazing on the twisty back roads and (very)high speed cruising

Wow, really good eye! Yes, that's in the heights. But the X5 spends most of its time in Corpus Christi, where the roads are even worse (pitiful in fact). I see disguised test cars driving around Corpus all the time. I've been told it's because of the bad roads and hot/humid weather.

These are the 746 individual. I can't find any more "real life" shots and am thinking about optioning these.

"20" wheels come with low profile tires, which reduce comfort and cushioning between the wheel and road. This can lead to increased risk of rim, tire, and suspension damage when driving over damaged road surfaces such as potholes."
Saw the statement above in the configurator. Does the 20 really reduce comfort?? |

Picked up my car yesterday.
Came out of a 2016 X5M with 21” tires. Ordered 22’s on this one but changed the order to 20’s and couldn’t be happier. I am not a run flat guy but they have come a long ways from a few years ago. I am 100% happy with car with 20’s. Good ride and surprised that I could be happy with a 6 cylinder with 200+ less horsepower. Plenty of power, I guess I am getting old. Previous cars were the X5M. 3 M5’s
3 Shelby’s and the list goes on. |

My current car is a F30 328. I ordered the smaller engine because the performance was more that I would ever use. My wife warned me that I'd never be happy without the big engine but I assured her I'd be fine. 5 years later I couldn't be happier with my smaller engine choice. We just ordered my wife's X5 40i. Again, we struggled with the choice of engines. With 0-60 in the low 5's (some say 4.9), I'm was pretty certain it wouldn't disappoint. Your post is very reassuring that we made the right choice in going with the 40i. I have to say its nice to be at a place in life where you can afford what you want and choose to not get the biggest/baddess example. For those of you who chose the 50i, congratulations. From the posts I've read, you all got a real beast, worthy of a lot of grins each time you start the engine. I'm a bit jealous, but still at peace with the decision to go with the 40i. |

Is the above pic the MSport 20s? I hope so because that is what I ordered.
