The car doesn’t lock, just honks - no matter if the doors are open or shut. Very annoying

The same happens when I leave the car with both devices while the engine is idling - it doesn’t lock, just honks
That's weird. Mine just locks. I wonder what is different in our settings.
And fwiw, I have never had it not lock when I walked away from it. I know this bc my watch vibrates when it locks and the mirrors fold.
Maybe the pre-LCI didn't work as well with this feature.

Oddly enough, after the recent OTA update, my watch stopped vibrating on lock (when I walk away from the car). Only the key card flashes on the watch screen

I wish it still vibrated on lock - kind of a reassuring vibe

Certainly, this could be related to the OTA or perhaps could have happened due to an Apple Watch update. Check the haptic settings...? PS: I turned off the "vibrate on lock" feature on my Apple Watch - different strokes....

Always thought this is a neat project/idea requiring a SwitchBot and a 3D printer: https://www.reddit.com/r/homeautomat...3d_printer_to/
