Thank you kryypttic: I checked today, and now the weather widget option IS SHOWING so I did a drag and drop. But what is odd, on your screen shot above (and now on my screen) the QLOCKTWO widget is not showing as a drag and drop option. That's OK for me, cause I do not want the QLOCKTWO.
I swear yesterday the Weather Widget was not showing as a drag and drop option but the QLOCKTWO was.

‘25 50e with 07/2024.40. This issue didn’t exist for me until this version was installed.

Just wait, it will happen. I thought the same with mine and then poof, the widgets disappeared. I added them back only to have them disappear yet again.

Working in 25 X5 here. What I wish, is we could customize the screen. The CarPlay home is better IMO, map, music, data. I preferred the pre co figured screen options that let you add the widget you wanted. Shoot, CarPlay is an app so it could be added albeit smaller if they wanted.

You can customize the Home Screen, you can choose map, media, live vehicle, weather plus up to two additional widgets at once on the Home Screen. So what you end up with is what was available for idrive 7 and idrive 8 since that allowed 3 main panes.

True that CarPlay cannot be one of those widgets though.

I was updated to 07/2024.55 today for an unrelated parking sensor issue. I'll add the weather widget again and see if it sticks for more than a few days.

I did notice that a "Drive Recorder" widget is now among the choices. That wasn't there before.

Yea drive recorder was recently added via “update apps and services” and thus is available with version 07/2025.40

I am also having this issue but i'm on 11/2023.50

I've also noticed that half of my apps are gone. Im missing the caring car and the app that relaxes or vitalizes you. I also lost the ability to have the seat ventilation/heater turn on a specific outside temp.

That’s really weird because I’ve got the weather widget paired with several other widgets (media, drive recorder, …) and I’ve not seen any instances of it disappearing.

If anything I’ve found the new widget customization rock solid.

My only gripe about the new update is the auto lane change. I think it’s definitely worse than it was before.

OK. Now it’s November, and I still have to re-add the weather and clock widgets every few days and sometimes every day. I’ve rebooted, taken it to the car wash and said a prayer — still nothing. 🙄

Mine were good for about 3 weeks, then 2 days go it was poof, gone again.

I did notice that when they disappeared, the infotainment screen took an extra long time (10 seconds?) to show anything when I started the car. The screen was just black and I knew something wasn't right. Then as it finally showed, the widgets were gone.

I wish they would fix the ugly fonts on the digital clock.
