The reality is more confusing. It does seem like DE cars have TLA in their current MY. In the UK the brochures for most models now include TLA as part of DAP, however, those that have received cars with i-step as late as 03/2021, are reporting that they have the menu items for TLA, but the feature is turned off with a region lock error. It's very bizarre. I suspect MY21, where supported, will eventually get TLA enabled fully via an i-step upgrade, which will simply change the SAS UCC and aUCC land masks to include those additional regions. |

Good evening, ifr!
I have a TLA encoded according to your encodings, but it says "not available in your country". Then there were additional encodings for your table. I have everything done according to them. But it also writes that it is not available in your country. Automatically following the route by navigating along the highway does not work either. The firmware was different 03/2021 now 07/2021. The year of release is 2019. And I read that you write about this and thought that there is nothing to do in Russia, because you write that it is blocked at the program level. But recently, one guru from the bmwclub forum (simon13) writes that he did and TLA works for him. I tried to find out from him how he did it, but he doesn't want to share it. He also confirmed to another person from the forum that he had done it, but said "whoever is looking for will find it" and you need to figure it out yourself. I would like to ask you, maybe you can tell me how to do it. I would like it to show the phases of the traffic light when you are waiting. Since the TLA function itself may not work very well in Russia. And automatic route tracking on the highway. ASLA is encoded and works well for me, LCA also works. GWW also did, but this does not affect the work of the TLA. |

Good day all
I have just successively coded aSLA in my 2019 X5 with iStep of 03/2021 using a combination of Bimmercode in expert mode and Launcher Pro 3.7. My next challenge is to code TLA and get it to work in Australia. I am aware several people have tried and reported it does not work here and the general consensus is that it has been disabled via the cloud. I am not entirely convinced this is the case as there are countries where TLA is not offered eg USA and yet owners there have got it up and working. I would like to think BMW would apply the same hierarchy of control to all countries/regions. I have saved the NCD files of the 4 ECU files in FWL format (readable text) and am now appealing to other G05 owners who have TLA working and have access to EsysX or Launcher Pro who could volunteer their NCD files in FWL format so I can do a line by line coding comparison in Excel. There is also the possibility BMW could also disable it via the KAFAS ECU but i have yet to check for that. I have already seen that all 4 of my files that are known to activate TLA functionality each have a FDL code set for Australia. Maybe by changing one or all of these parameters to another region may activate TLA? I have been using the coding verification in Launcher Pro and changing the country codes and generating modified files but i don't think they are quite right as i am using my FA list and not a genuine UK or German spec X5 FA list. Ideally I am looking for UK owners as both Australia & UK are RHD regions and possibly Germany where TLA is also standard. PM me for my contact details if you think you can help out. I am happy to share my findings for those that participate. Many thanks in advance S

During a recent map update via USB drive, i found a configuration file that lists what map features are contained in the database and whether they are activated or not. Deja011 also modified the list too and reloaded the maps on his X5 and iDrive came up with the error missing traffic light data. I would like to think this is the same reason why TLA does not work in other parts of the world like Russia and some eastern European countries. I would suggest the best thing to do before going down the coding route is to first check the contents of this file in your latest Map Update on your USB stick. If it has a 0 then no dice, if it has a 1 change it to a 2 and hope it activates the TLA data on the stick and finally if it has a 2 then you are on the money. Note in the pic below I already edited it from a 0 to 2 for trialing purposes

Hmmm... I was really hoping i had resolved this issue. Does the Russia map database include other countries like Poland Belarus Ukraine Latvia Lithuania Estonia Finland Sweden Norway?
One of these countries may have the Traffic Light Location Data hence the database is populated with the value of 2. If not then there must another way of disabling TLA My question to other readers is there anyone out there that has TLA working without the GWW FSC code in their KAFAS ECU? I am just trying to eliminate other possibilities

Hi can anyone recommend or PM details of someone able to do this type of coding remotely on a UK 45e please. I use ACC 99% of the time and would like to get any many of these features active and running on my car.
Looking for coding such as traffic light assist, corridor assist, urban cruise control, any motorway improvements, basically anything to do with automatic cruise control and lane management. |

I can see the traffic lights in the Nav, but my car was built 12/19. It’s a full option car but I don’t get that function at all. I’ve message Baron to see if he can help with getting it remote coded. |

Can anyone advise on what is the current status of TLA and SLA with regard to whether there is any benefit in getting updated from istep 03/2021.30 to the latest istep version which I guess would be 03/2022.xx when I get my vehicle serviced next month.
My coding efforts for these functions has been very successful and they have been working great for a year now. If I have an istep update applied, this means I will have to re-code and I am not sure if the version of EsysX I have, EsysX-9-02342 purchased 5/12/2020 is still a valid version for coding based on the fact that it is no longer available to purchase/update? Thanks in advance. |
