Despite the fact that I was right about Felipe Massa leaving the Scuderia in the end of this season I was completely wrong with my bet on Kamui Kobayashi for his substitute.

Since I made a BIG deal out of it with constant kinda of off-topic references to that possibility on the two threads where I've extensively posted, it's now fair to acknowledge that I completely lost the right to a credible opinion in this forum about car motorsport, in particular, and cars in general.

I still believe Montezemolo made a wrong move with his choice but my opinion is now rendered worthless. Also, I probably will be wrong about many other statements I've made here. I guess I'm just a dreamer... and since you don't have to put up with my personal dreams I will shut up as I can't possibly rave about a car such as the BMW X1 although I made a promess to Red Bread that I would in case I loose my bet... I'm sorry man, but it's beyond my strength to say good things about a car such as the X1. Put it this way... at least you don't have to read my posts here anymore so much for your happiness!

Thank you all for your patience mainly the moderators because probably you were under some pressure from some users to shut me up... as you see, you did the right thing because I'll shut myself up. Nothing worth sharing now...

The fact is this still is only speculation. Therefore, I only can point out someone else's concern for the american potential buyer of the Alfa 4C:

Having owned two Alfa, a 911, and several other driver focused cars, I welcome Alfas return to our shores. But I have to wonder whether this land of mammoth SUVs can appreciate it. I'm convinced people today buy sports cars for the prestige not for the driving. Our crowed roads and suburban living render driver cars meaningless. Will Alfa have the prestige to make it in this market?

Yet another review knocking the cheap materials inside.

While the exterior is nearly beyond any reproach the human brain can conjure up, the interior is disappointing in a few spots. The plastics, for one thing, while a little better than those of many recent Alfas, are strictly sub-par.

The fact is, it wasn't me who brought the thread back to life with new information worth sharing. Actually, my name was called upon to comment on it.

All I can tell you is I already was inside an Alfa 4C and my actual car is a BMW 1M and my previous car was a Porsche Cayman and finally my name is in a waiting list for an Alfa 4C.

I'm not complaining, but I'm not the one who packed up my bags and went home.

I'm curious about the 4C, but I'm pretty sure we're getting the shaft here in the US.

Looking at the following two lists of Nurburgring's (Nordschleife) lap times:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...eife_lap_times

http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/nordschleife.html

we can say for a fact that the Alfa 4C is the fastest and simultaneously the less powerful car with a trunk door (and enough DD practicality for many) around the N'ring on street legal R-compound tires (Pirelli PZeros Trofeo) in stock form. What about that one for an unamatched title among the whole car industry?!

Well... another fact is that the Alfa 4C with 180hp less is faster than a manual M3 E92 on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup + tires:

Ok... it's also a fact that the interior plastics of the M3 E92 are better quality than those from the Alfa 4C. The M3 wins there, it must be said... can an Alfa 4C owner live with that?!

Is it your goal to make me hate this car? Because that is what you are doing.

I am baffled as to what you are trying to accomplish in this thread.

Porsche says to the Alfa : "You toy . " The answer : "You cruisers . " I mean, they both are sports cars . The 4C with sweat and tingling skin , the Cayman with his second identity as Hamburg -Munich- Express.

Alfa Romeo has confirmed that the new 4C will require a service every 20,000km (approximately 12,500 miles) or yearly, whichever is first. It had previously been rumoured that the new rear-engined sports car would require a service every 4,500 miles.
