Just the way it was designed, it seems to visually squat in the front and if you look hard enough, it looks like the whole front end design was compressed vertically. I know they're trying to improve the aero of the car, but the proportions of the back end to the front end just don't look Viper-ish from that angle. And that's completely fine, I was just stating what I observed.

Take a look at the original GTS from that angle. Then take a look at the new one. The front fender and front end seem to be scaled down vertically, no doubt in the interest of aero. Notice the slope of the top of the fender. Look at the front end in comparison to back end; the vertical ratios just look a bit off. That's all I'm saying. I like the new GTS, but that angle looks a bit weird to me. I know the car looks like a Viper; after all, it is a Viper. |

Interestingly, the SLS was supposed to be the new Viper. Then the market tanked and Dodge had to scrap the concept for budget reasons. Mercedes, as they were departing from Chrysler, took the concept as they were walking out the door and turned that into the SLS. |

I absolutely love this thing. The designers did a great job on handling the evolution of the Viper's classic cues and proportions. My only gripes stem from the way the surfacing was handled, mainly around the front end of the hood and the front fenders. I wish the diffuser had a little more mass and depth to it; the rear looks too pinched as it stands, although that's staying in line with classic Viper proportions. Also not crazy about the exposed carbon fiber on the rear. I'd prefer flat black trim instead.
Other than these minor nit picks, I think this is a home run of a design.

The front looks Japanese and the back looks like a poorly made Aston.. The side looks great but over all not really a fan.. Although I was not a fan of the 458 at first..
