Emergency Stop Assistant

Component of the Driving Assistant Professional package
Intended to be used in situations where the driver is suddenly incapacitated because of a medical emergency
By pulling the electric parking brake switch, vehicle will come to a standstill either in the current lane, at the edge of the road or on the hard shoulder. Hazard warning lights are activated and the Intelligent Emergency Call function automatically notifies the BMW Assist call center to alert emergency services

This sounds scary if it happens (or malfunctions) on a highway

If it's like other very very high priced cars and super cars that have the same concept, button either won't work when the car is in Drive or Reverse or will you will only be able to kill the ignition in D or R on a long press. Don't see why it so "dumb". But to each his own. One mans dumb is another mans brilliant, e.g., fried chicken glazed donut sandwiches. Haha.

This is a nice preview of the new 3 series interior. Very similar design to this from the spy shots.

Well done BMW! I especially like the interior, very luxurious and now more competitive with other high dollar luxury suvs. I just hate that the V8 has almost the same power as my M550i, guess I should have known they would upgrade all the engines to save money.

This car is sick. I love the interior, except the unbelievable tacky gear lever (optional thankfully), and all that ugly plastic shown in the autogefuhr video. Was pretty amazed by the amout of plastic used in the rear. Maybe its an early demo car..sure hope so.

And also, no 48v electrical sistem, and it's heavier than the F15?

a quick search for tires for the 21 and 22 staggered setup (have to have that fat 315 rears) revealed next to nothing on the market and expensive. I wondered why they picked those sizes.

anyway with the number of positive comments from us forum members I think it's a home run for bmw. we tend to be the most critical especially at new product launches then sometimes warm up later.

Eh, have to see it in person. Definitely upped their luxury game but I think I like the looks of the old F15 and the new X3 better. Piano black controls ain't gonna last

Bad - the beaver tooth grill and hyundai / rav 4 taillights.
