Mine did the same thing, went from Jan 20 to 19 about 5 days before production. Who knows why. Shipped on the 20th and according to Genius is supposed to hit Renton tomorrow the 11th.

Looking forward to having it, I sold the Acadia it is replacing a couple of weeks ago, so I'm forced to drive my vette as a daily driver for the time being.

That's awesome. The timing seems about right, 3-4 weeks or so from when yours completed to when you're to receive it. Mine is currently 'Awaiting Carrier Assignment' so with any luck maybe it'll hit the rails this weekend. When I was following the car I nearly had in December it also finished on Thu/Fri, and it spent a lot of time sitting around that first weekend - couple days in/around the plant before making it to Atlanta, where it then sat for 2-3 days before finally moving. Norfolk Southern seemed really slow. Once it hit BNSF, seemed to speed up.. but I definitely learned that freight trains are slow, and there seems to be little rhyme or reason to their (unpublished) schedules.

Hopefully it'll only hang out at Renton for a day or two (or less!) before getting to your dealer. I think the one in Dec that I followed was around Seattle/Renton for a couple days before the railcar statused as empty, but the holidays at the time could have affected it as well.

The Genius told me it would hang around Renton for a day or two for inspection. My guess it the railroad doesn't want to get finger pointed if there is damage occurring after it is in their care.

Ugh… mine is done… and now I have to wait a month to go pick up at PDC. My CA assures me it’s worth the wait but man… it’s tempting to have them just deliver it.

I think you will be glad if you wait to pick it up at the Performance Center. You will have a blast!

I got my production number on 1/17, and still no sign of a VIN number yet. Is this typical? I did the F12 trick and found nothing further (though my skillset with computers is lacking.) Can anything further be found out without a VIN? The dealer says they have no further info and it's starting to wear on my nerves.

If what you say is accurate, the salesman blatantly lied to me to get my $2500 and order. I've had my production number for 4 weeks and still only crickets re: start date. Ugh.

What is your build week, your CA or Genius can give that to you. About two weeks prior to your build week you will change to the Production Begins status. At that time a VIN will be assigned and parts ordered/allocated.

It showed up to the dealer today and I have an appointment to take delivery on Saturday a 1 PM. So, the delivery time seems to be consistent with your previous experience.

Slowly but surely...

Annnnd its status went to 'at the port' and is now 'in transit' and I can only assume it's left Kansas City and is on with BNSF now. For once, MyGarage was more updated than the railcar tracking.

I'm excited, haha. But also it'll be another 2 weeks before it makes it up here to Seattle.

I'm sure most Week 6-ers probably have theirs, or will by now. Unless they're in the PNW sharing the same train that's been sitting at "Intermediate Arrival on Train, Seattle, WA" since Saturday night.
