You can ignore that, there is not such thing as not fully migrating yet. There often are errors though, that could be what they are referring to. The Configurator often does not reflect the current rules and production constraints, you need to have a dealer do the build for that.

The website also does not elaborate on what is included with the M-sport package upgrade, other than showing the exterior tweaks.

Assuming/hoping these are just a typos, but surprised no one has caught it at HQ.

Just want to make sure we're getting the car and powertrain we think we're getting here.
HP #'s has been corrected on the US site for 40i and 50e.

Not going to start a new thread, because I know it's out there. Can anyone point me to the link that has pics of the Fineline Black Wood trim? I can't seem to find it.

Here was my post re: 4LM Fineline Black Wood Trim...

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=627

I'm also going with M60, and even though most would choose carbon fiber, I'm pretty sure I'm choosing Fineline Black Wood.

TurtleBoy, not sure I understand you here. I drive hands-free regularly at 75 - 80 on highways with my '23 45e. Was this an option when I got it and is becoming standard?

That is not possible. Cruise Mode 3 (Assisted Driving Plus/Extended Traffic Jam Assistant) is only available up to 40 mph. With Cruise Mode 2 (Assisted Driving/ Cruise with Steering and Lane control) you have to touch the steering wheel every so often.

Anyone have any idea why highway assistant is not available on the X5M/X6M? Thats really preventing the cars from being “perfect” in my mind and bringing the M60i back into play.

I do have to touch the steering wheel every so often. You described it as "hands free driving" which is how I regard it, since don't use my hands to steer. But you do have to lightly brush the steering wheel with with something (usually your hands!) to keep it going. I apologize for any confusion.

It is indeed a nice enhancement if that is no longer necessary.

No problem, hands-free in this regards means no need to touch at all. Currently it is up to 40mph when activated and will be up to 85mph for Highway Assistant.

That seems like an awesome feature to add, I think it still tracks the eyes w infrared to work right? Otherwise people (dumb) but abuse it. Too bad it’s only good for 8 years w the car. I’m struggling to comprehend why they would disable it after 8 years?

Highway Assistant will not be disabled after 8 years. It will continue to work. This statement is made by BMW for two reasons:

1) that is when their contract with the current vendor, HERE Technologies, will run out. They will then extend or sign a new contract.

2) legal purposes, so that they are only obligated for services like this for a specific time period and not 'forever'.

*I'll edit this and say, yes, there is a chance BMW does not renew or resign another contract but I find that hard to believe.

Back in 2017 when I bought my Jeep with the “Adaptive Cruse Control” it took about a year for me to get used to it, much less trust it.

I now wonder how long hands-free is going to take…

I did not see that Dynamic Handling Package is available for the 2024 X5 M60i. Could it be part of the ZMQ M Sport Professional Package? According to the pricing guide, it includes 33B M Sport Package Pro, red or blue calipers, M shadowline lights and extended shadowline trim. It says nothing about DHP. I sure hope DHP is available.

Or, could DHP be a part of the 2VW@ Adaptive M suspension Professional?

DHP used to be IAS + Active Roll Stabilzation

IAS is now standard on M60i models so optioning Adaptive M Suspension Pro combined with standard IAS gives you what used to be DHP

The Dynamic Handling Package consisted of three items - IAS, Adaptive M Suspension Professional and Active Roll Stabilization. As you alluded to, for MY24 Adaptive M Suspension Professional includes Active Roll Stabilization.

Thanks for the clarification. What is the difference between Adaptive M Suspension Pro and regular? I just assumed they were the same with pro having ARS

My understanding is that they are different at least in tuning but there may also be some hardware differences in addition to ARS.

Edit: From a previous post by Auricom : Difference between 2VF Adaptive M and 2VW Adaptive M Pro is slight difference in damper rate programming and adds Adaptive M Pro's control on the cornering behavior.

I'm so torn, I test drove a '23 yesterday. CA told me 50e would be at least 3 months for the build date if I order. I like the sticker a lot better on the '23 (plus obviously it's on the lot) but worried I'll regret not getting the LCI. I like the new tech but I also like buttons

Ignore what the dealer is telling you, that is just sales talk to try and get you into the 23. If they do have that long of a waiting list then check with see other dealers to see what they have.

Sorry to question TurtleBoy but I think the image of Dynamic Handling Package is from the 2023 X5 pricing guide, not the 2024 pricing guide. I really don't think the Dynamic Handling Package is available on the 2024 X5 M60i. But, I really hope I am wrong.
