There is no plug and play option but Windows VM is an option for remote coding.

Easily done with Esys but not sure anyone posts codes.

Does anyone know if BimmerUtility alone is sufficient to code Anti Dazzle (after completing VO coding)? I've been toggling many module lines with trial/error but my headlamp creates a tunnel only with low beam for some reason.

I did make some update with Esys but I only have 3.30.x so it was missing a lot of modules. So I took the bite and purchased BimmerUtility.

I have 2019 with base LED headlight. I assumed this would still be able to create a tunnel with highbeam.

Bimmerutility can enable anti-dazzle coding. That said, seem folks have reported not being able to do it on the base LED's. That could be what you are experiencing except as far as I know, anti-dazzle only affects the high beams. There is no tunneling needed or available with low beams.

Pity, but thanks for the info. Not sure how I missed these reports/threads on the base model

You can enable one of the faux versions but not the full version since Bimmercode can't access the ECU's required. This one is widely used and hasn't been reported to have caused issues.

This works for non-laser too right?

Thanks!

I have not heard one way or the other. However there has been numerous reports of problems trying to enable anti-dazzle on the non-lasers so if true then I would say you may run into issues.

Does this work for 8.5 as well? I've heard LCIs are having trouble doing some coding.

No, the LCI's can't be coded. To enable anti-dazzle for them, some folks have used the update trick when they VO code out 5AP and then the next time the vehicle has its iDrive updated, either by the dealer or OTA, the anti-dazzle is enabled. I have not seen confirmation that the trick works on the X5 though but it is being used by many 7 series owners and maybe others.

I'll give this a try today and will report back once I get the 11/2024 update installed next Friday (got it warranty approved by my dealer for some GPS issues)

Make sure you do some research regarding the details. My understanding from reading some posts is if it is not done a specific way it can cause the vehicle to not accept updates and a new file would need to be installed from Germany. Needless to say that would not be covered by warranty. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Good news - It's possible to do this over E-sys now on the LCI G05 and G07 but the signed NCD files need to be requested on the BMW side beforehand. We successfully enabled Anti Dazzle on a client's 2025 iX a few days ago and can confirm this works.

Removing 5AP from the FA and waiting for the next update theoretically will work as well but you will likely need to wait months for the next update and with a permanently modified FA, it could raise red flags if you encounter any warranty disputes since it will be apparent that the FA has been modified.

In a beta Bimmercode release I got today, they indicated that anti-dazzle coding was in that beta for the 3-4 series...maybe coming for others, I'm guessing, depending on how well their attempt at that series works. Hopefully, it does, and becomes available for the X5, at least prior to the LCI.

If they're ever able to read the KAFAS4 module, that's a possibility but I don't see that ever possible on the LCI G05/G07s since that will require the signed NCD files to be requested from BMW beforehand.

Anti Dazzle can still be coded the traditional way on the LCI 3/4/M3/M4 etc since those models are only partially on the new secure platform.

There are still a lot of pre-LCI vehicles out there that might want that feature. I've avoided it since I didn't want to deal with it again after a s/w update.

Yeah, I got that notice as well today...at least they're working on it...

When I inquired a few years ago, the answer was a definite no, but they probably have received a lot of requests.

I just want to drop this info here, Anti Dazzle coding is possible on X5 LCI.

I personally saw a 25 X5M LCI getting anti dazzle enabled, but you would have to get it done remotely, there was a small fee for that.

And it work right away without waiting for an update or anything

Yep, we are currently offering this and I can confirm that it works on the LCI models.

A read needs to be done on the vehicle with the FA and SVT saved and the signed NCD files would be requested from BMW real time allowing for the coding to be done on the same session.
