My current version of software (11/2019.34), and my previous version (07/2019.49) have always shown the correct speed value in the Alpina display, aligned with what is shown in the HUD. What software version are you on? |

Great News !
I've just tested Bimmercode version 2.17.3-6357 on Android, and the Body Domain Controller ECU has now been added and can be coded. Default driving mode, now "Adaptive" ... The impressive thing is Expert Mode is now supported on this ECU, so I am guessing that Sports+ mode can now be coded. Does anyone know how to do this? (yes, the 30d supports all driving modes except Sports+) Anyways, screen-shots of the Body Domain Controller options below. |

OK for those of you in the UK and Europe who have 30d Diesel's and have Bimmercode, here's how to add Sports Plus mode to your Sports driving modes:
1. Access the Body Domain Controller; 2. Enable Expert mode 3. Go to 3221 PfFesMaster, and change two rows: - FesPiaDefaultSportWorldMode: change to 0x02 (SportExpert, aka Sports Plus) - FesSportWorldMode1: change to 0x02 (SportExpert, aka Sports Plus) 4. Code. So now, when you toggle the Sport Driving mode button, you should be able to cycle through three (x3) options: Sports Plus, Sports, and Sports Individual. I wonder what Sport Plus mode will do for my 0 - 100km/h (60mph) sprint time? ...I'll give it a try tomorrow and see if I can better the 6.3 - 6.5seconds that people seem to get on the 30d's. So in the "window lifter interruption when opening a door" option - what do you select? Active or inactive? My understanding is that basically this has to do with rolling up or down of the windows when the car is switched off and you open a door while rolling a window up or down and it stops if a door is opened. I want to have the window continue to roll up or down even when I open a door.

As it is written in the 1st sentence of your quote...the window up/down movement is interrupted when the door is opened. If you want that to continue...then you would select ACTIVE. If you do NOT want the interruption to occur when the door is opened...then you would select INACTIVE.

Tested my newly found Sports Plus mode, and it definitely makes a difference !
Tested it on the way to work this morning, after around 10-15 minutes - I always let the car warm up first. Definitely revs a little harder, and changes are damn fast - almost in the category of short-shifting. The good news is it didn't over-rev, I was worried that Sports Plus might push the motor too hard - as I suspect its been designed around Petrol/Gas engines (40i/50i), and obviously Diesels don't rev as high (if you do you can damage them..), but it was nicely contained, just barely going into the red zone. To be honest the shifts were so fast it's almost impossible to keep it in the red zone for any appreciable time. |

Sport plus usually just makes the throttle more sensitive and the steering heavier. Shifting might be faster as well but I assume Sport would already give you faster shifting.
Engine power will be the same across all modes. |

Did you let the car warm up before you tried flooring it? Maybe more needs to be coded for it to fully work. Anyone? |

In one of the modules I changed/updated, it had "Xtra Boost" as an option. I wonder if that does what it implies? ...apply extra turbo boost? |

aSLA coding requires access to BDC, HU, DSC, and SAS ECUs — that's what @ifr is referring to.
