Had my first fuel refill at 515 miles on odo. Was happy to see the cruising range potential. Was showing I had 91 miles left on the gauge. But, @$4.959 gal I was caught off guard when the pump didn’t stop until more than 18 gals had been pumped and the bill came to slightly over $90. Not complaining, just caught off guard. Even at that price, we are lucky compared to most other countries.

No, it was very straightforward (I already had a pressure bleeder from previous DIYs). Only thing which was new to me was dealing with the air suspension system. It must be disabled before jacking up the car so the auto leveling system does not try to compensate.

Since I bought the car used I had no idea if the fluid was ever changed, and given its a 2020 model I wanted the peace of mind of knowing the services were up to date. I was surprised to find the fluid in the system was already extremely clean, I could not notice a perceivable difference in color to the new fluid. It was not a total waste of time though, as there was a little bit of air in the system that I was able to evacuate. And the peace of mind gained, of course!

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Indeed the peace of mind is worth it. Did you have to do anything special with the electric parking brake, as in place it in service mode or anything like that?

Not necessary to deal with the parking brake for a caliper bleed. I did discover my pads were quite low so I will have to do a brake replacement soon and mess with the electronic parking brake. Planning for F95 brake retrofit - front calipers have been acquired, waiting on a good deal for the rears

Installed ScreenProTech screen protector on X5 today. Factory one was OK until I swiped left and caught the edge, causing it to suck in every single piece of dust and lint available in between the film and the screen. Couldn't take it anymore, ordered ScreenProTech.



Instructions on-line are good but could use some additions
This is a good video to start.

Things I added:
Dust cloth to clean interior prior to install
Pump bottle of glass's cleaner (dilute alcohol)
Blue painters tape so you can keep from touching back of film during wetting and installation.


Went well, there is some spotting but I suspect (hope) it will go away with evaporation.
