Ah yes, the "BMW knows better than you / you're not the target market" post. Thank you for providing this. So glad to be reminded that our opinion as consumers doesn't matter.

True, but not like the new 7 Series or X7, both of which are odd

There are definitely two different grill versions on these prototypes. Seems like the X5M will get its own front fascia like the M4 and M3. It has a much more angular grill shape.

MY production for the X5 has started in April before, my 2013 E70 was produced in May of 2012.

That is correct and what we have been saying will happen with the LCI. That aside, we are referring to the G05 so past models are not being included. People on here are confused enough no need to add to it.

To me its one of those design updates many people dislike at first then learn to love. This happened to me many times including the G05 taillights when I first saw them and now I love the design. Although this design may have a different aesthetic I still dont think it will be enough to steer some of us that don't like it to other makes.
I guess time will tell.

The LCI G05 will sell. It will sell very well. All the comments that this is hideous or won't sell well are humorous at best. Take the X3 LCI, upsize it to the G05 size, and that's likely what we will see on this update.

Agreed. I used to love the way Bimmers look .. i have been driving one since 2008. The current X5 Msport looks incredible … but their stupid effing triangles and weird stuff (looking at you LCI X3, ix and others) are turning me off the brand. Starting to look elsewhere for the next car

I keep checking this thread to see if there is some change on the LCI date 😃 i know i know those dates March 2023 production are correct and the insider was never wrong…. It just sucks bcs I cant wait that long….still seems weird theyre testing cars more than one year before launch (given its an LCI)…

Just my opinion, but BMW is catering to the ugly futuristic and already dated Genesis interiors. One of the many reasons I stick with the brand is it’s interior simplicity. You have buttons where you need them and everything is intuitive. You drive it, not stare at your dash and center console! The new floating IDrive 8 may be OK for an electric vehicle since they over design them anyway, but in my opinion it’s just a little funky for the legacy buyer. Once it’s mainstream, I am sure it won’t hurt sales though!
