Asics gel kayano - but that all depends on if you supinate or pronate...

Most comfortable sneakers ever though - adidas ultra boosts...

I'm retarded. My left foot over supinates, but my right foot strikes perfectly. (Neutral)

Sell me on the ultra boosts...do you run in them?

Snow, sometimes freezing rain and the trail is usually snow covered.

Look into compression pants! If it's too cold for you current temps, I'd recommend using them. Keep from cramping and any uncomfortable wind gust making running miserable.
I have a few pairs I wear snowboarding, but never tried running in them. I guess I never think to dress for the weather when it comes to running.

But running when it's hot? I love it. That feeling of being just drenched in sweat then getting inside and chugging glass after glass of ice water and taking a cool shower or jumping in a pool... good times!

I'm not going to front though, I don't think I'll ever leave SoCal. Once you come down and see what all the fuss is about- you don't want to leave.

Definitely love long beach more than OC or LA though

You won't like them if you have narrow feet... But they are the lightest most comfortable sneakers I have ever wrapped my feet in easily... And I'm pretty anal about sneakers because I have to wear dress shoes during the work week...

You seem to run quite a bit, Forrest... My recommendation for you are asics... Gel-kayano or gel-nimbus... If your feet are narrow or you don't mind the feel, I cannot fathom you disliking the UB's... They make all the lunar's feel like Payless sneakers...

Nah I have wide feet. That's one thing I liked about the flyknit lunars is that they mold to the foot.

I've never bought asics, which is weird. I was going back and forth between zoots and saucony kinvaras- but found a good match with the flyknit lunar 1.

However, they're extremely hard to find now, and all the shit on Amazon are knock offs. So I need to start looking for something new...

the UB also mold, it's their version of "flyknit"... Don't get me wrong, I wear my flyknit 3's constantly, but those UB just put them to shame... But you can get the flyknits on sale ($115) whereas the UB's are never on sale and that's $180... Asics are also closer to the $180 mark as well...

My justification is, dress shoes... those are about 5 pairs of ultra boosts, doesn't seem too bad when I justify it that way in your head...

When it comes to shoes+ gym gear, money makes no difference to me. Always put a priority in that over any other type of shoe/clothes.

I'm going to check if they have them on runningwarehouse.com

I was down there for the first time over the summer. I really liked the beach towns, didn't care much for how crowded LA felt tho. SD was cool too. I can see why people love it.

I'll be back in Tahoe in a month. If i'm ever at a place where I can afford a vacation home, that might be the spot.

I feel you on finding a pair you dig though... I've got multiple pairs in the lunar 3's, another pair of kayano 20's and another pair of white UB's all in the closet for when I ruin these ones... They keep messing with the formula and what works one year for you might not be the case the following iteration...

You pretty much nailed it... Beach town, the rest of it, not so much...

Don't want to leave... If I get run over by a steamroller tomorrow, they can spread my ashes out in the sand / ocean...
