Has anyone heard this noise before?

So I notice it at random times. Yesterday, I was in the drive thru at starbucks and while stopped, my car started to make a sound like a basketball was bouncing very fast in the back left of the car. Kind of like the sound of bubbling water or a basketball bouncing very fast.

Is it fuel moving through the lines with air in there or something? Is something vibrating only when at a weird angle and hitting the bottom of the car? Perhaps the exhaust?

No, seriously, we all know those techs are terrible at diagnosing anything that a computer wont tell them is wrong. Lets be honest lol.

I once had a tech tell me he needed to strip down my entire car to find a rattle in the trunk and that I would need to leave the car for a week. I fixed the rattle in the next morning by turning a trunk stop knob. They are inept at their jobs.

Are you able to post a clip to capture this noise?

I have 2 annoying noise with mine:
1) is the "squealing" brake noise due to dust (ugh.. so annoying)
2) is the rattle around the trunk area. The tech said something was loose (i forgot what it was) and they were able to fix it, so now it's gone.

Where is that trunk stop knob? I heard many people say it fixes sounds coming from that area!

I also have a noise coming from rear trunk area. Sounds like it's coming from the left. Doesn't bother me much since I'm usually listening to music, but when I'm not I hear it.

that seems very unusual. Nothing back there moves let along to the point of sounding like a fast basketball dribbling. Only two things I could think of is the exhaust flaps or if there is an issue with the ASD where the amp is in the driver side rear behind the storage door.

Keep us posted

There is no way a video is possible. It happens randomly and lasts a few seconds.

Update on noise: It seems to only happen after I fill up my tank. The gurgle noise pretty much happens anytime the car shifts weight. Very easy to replicate when Im driving slow in a garage and come to a firm stop.

What's in this fuel tank? Are there multiple compartments? Multiple pumps? Lines?

Try turning your radio off to see if it is a speaker or base module.

This is all with volume at 0

It only happens when my tank is full or close to full.

Now that I am at 7/8th the sound cant be replicated.

This is 100% fuel moving around. Im curious how the fuel system is designed in this car, whether its multiple pumps/compartments etc.

I've never heard this sound. Maybe something is blocking something in the fuel line it tanks? Probably should call the dealer.

Fuel tanks have baffles to help gas from sloshing around too much. Perhaps one is broken or defective?

If a baffle was broken, i feel like it would happen all the time.

This is only when I fill up. After about 30 miles, i cannot reproduce the noise whatsoever.

I read a couple of things about fuel tanks last night. Seems the weight of the gas at or nearly full is what is required to move a loose baffle. Sorry I did not book mark it , I will search again and post what I find. Who know it may be something else, best of luck
