Does one dealer have more allocations than other?

Hi everyone.
I have been to many dealers in NJ/NY.
Of course they all ran out 45e allocations. I had to put $1000 deposit get in line (order bank). I chose the smaller dealership based on CA experience but wondering allocation quantity on his dealer.
Does bigger dealer get more allocations than other or smaller dealership?

It would probably make sense that they are allocated according to dealer volume, no?

There is a formula that is used to apportion allocations to dealers. Sales volume is a big factor in that.

Dealers can trade allocations slots too but I bet the 45e is in hot demand across the country.

Allocations are by model line, not total volume of vehicles, so one pushing more X-series will likely have more allocations for them versus say a sedan.

My local dealership has three showrooms on the property...the area they normally use for BMWs is still full, but of GMs and Mazdas. Prior to all of this, it was nearly exclusively BMWs. Very few vehicles available for immediate purchase, though.
