I have a week 24 build which does NOT have the manual tailgate code. I originally had a week 19 build which DID have the delete code. I ordered on Wednesday and got the production number today.

I’m afraid there are other deletions from features I’ve seen in reviews of the x5 I’ve been reading. Like is the ambient lighting still included?

Welcome to the forum. Yes, ambient lighting has not been deleted. Depending on configuration you may not have it on the seat backs.

Car ordered in late January. Update below received from dealer. Disappointed as I had been told HK was back on the table. Scheduled to arrive in dealer (Dublin) end of May early June.

“…..The car has completed production and is in transit.

It doesn’t look like the tailgate function has been affected, but it looks like Harman Kardon has been removed again – contrary to the information I was given when you ordered. …… “

Not sure there ever was a definitive answer but I think it was luxury seating. There is a thread here someplace that had people posting their details.

Edit: Here is one of the threads, which also contains links to the others. Reading through it, luxury seating is not the key and as Di3s3l_Power said it seems to be the Executive Package.

Based on delivered car for TheFatArmadillo and my recent Week 22 order confirmation, it seems that this deletion may have come to an end... good news keep your fingers crossed.

My build went to Waiting carrier assignment yesterday. Last time I checked a day ago I was still showing 32W.

curious as to how a manual lower tailgate affects one being "vertically challenged"? I'm sure she can reach all necessary buttons to unlock then manually open and close the lower tailgate

are you relating the top portion of the tailgate regarding your wife's height? the top portion remains fully electronic, and you can even set its opening height when fully open. i set mine 2 steps lower from default so my youngest can reach the closing button.

Have we had anyone take delivery of the manual lower tailgate yet? I don't remember seeing it but if so, can you see if the kick to open/close still works with the upper part?

What week production is yours scheduled for? We are theorizing that week 22+ will have automatic lower tailgate again.

the +" is to add multiple quotes from other people to your reply

the " is to include a single quote to your reply.

by tapping both when replying, your adding that same quote again, hence the double-quote

to reply without any quotes, tap the pencil icon

Interesting: online configurator shows $150 lower price than the build confirmation sheet I got from my SA for week 22 build (due to -$150 for manual lower tailgate). Hopefully this is one more piece of evidence that the deletion is disappearing soon.
