Man, our dealer wouldn't budge at all on the price when we ordered. Just gave us $500 off for military. Their reasoning was that they were pulling allocations from other dealers, so they couldn't mark down the price.

There might need to be some renegotiation once our cars come in. Or is that frowned upon? We never signed anything, and only put a $1k deposit down for each of our orders.

Maybe contact another dealer or find a broker to work through. Seems unreasonable no discount other than military for someone ordering 2 vehicles

Placed an order on Monday in Atlanta area for 10% off MSRP + $3500 BMW Incentives for a total of just under 15%. I believe the 10% is a standing offer for those that ask whereas the BMW incentives vary. PM me if you'd like the name of the manager I'm working with.

FWIW, I never would have expected that until I started following this thread... gave me the ammo I needed to have the discussion... amazing how quickly things change when you have information.

Right off the bat, I can tell you that they are marking the MF up to the max and the discounts before incentives are tiny. The market is tough and changing daily for these vehicles, but I would be looking at deals at 8-10% off MSRP before incentives and buy rate (money factor) for starters. $1857 for X5M seems astronomical to me - same story with the X5 M50i. For comparison, I leased a '21 X5 xDr40i with an MSRP of $77.5k for ~$800/mo before taxes on an 8% off MSRP, 36/10k, buy rate deal. Yes, incentives, residuals, and money factor were more favorable back in October when I locked, but still. Good luck! Your builds sound amazing - would love to have either of those X5s!

WW both seem very high. Try to find a demo you can lease and search outside of your area.

Incentives are regional but it is still available, at least in some areas. Like many incentives, it is listed as monthly and renewed each month.

I thought USAA was out of the car buying business. How did you go about getting USAA discount?

I got it when USAA was still doing it. Now the BMW military discount is available at PenFed, TruCar and through BMW.

Assuming you are referring to the $2,500 APR Credit, that is correct.

2021 BMW X5 Order

Hello all,

Learned a ton from this thread. Thanks to everyone for sharing. I'm in the Phoenix metro area. Planning to order a new X5 40i xDrive this month. Sales associates have offered the normal $3500 in incentives. What percentage should I be looking for this to make sense?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi All,

Looking to do a custom build on a 45e (pretty much fully loaded) since they’re currently impossible to find. What percentage off MSRP before incentives should I be shooting for currently in the SoCal area? Gotten a few quotes, but the best is only around 5% so far.

Thanks in advance.

Got an x45e without the M sport package but otherwise fully loaded for $69.5k selling price (MSRP $79.5k) this past week. That's about 12.5% off MSRP after all dealer discounts and rebates.

Dealer is in west suburb.
