a little custom work under the hood

I had the engine cover painted body color. I'm a corvette owner from the past and that is one thing that has stuck with me on my BMW's. Not only does it need to run and drive well but it needs to look good while doing it. I have new air boxes ordered and on their way from Germany. Hoping they will be here in the states soon so I can get them done also.

that one is a sticker. I have a friend that does art work that's going to paint it on for me. the guy that did the paint wanted me to let it run thru a few heat cycles on the motor then he is going to do another clear coat. then will have it ceramic coated to keep everything from sticking to it. it's amazing how dang dusty it gets under this hood. My F30 was no where this bad.

I Got the Air boxes done finally. will post more pics once I get time to install them. not sure if I'm going to put the complete box in or just the tops. As hot as this motor gets I'm worried about longevity. I don't keep the cover on most of the time. it's get's oved 150 deg F.

installed the new Air Filter tops yesterday. to much trouble to climb in the engine bay and replace the whole box in 95 deg sun beating down on you Texas afternoon.
