Release notes are visible in the Belgian Connected drive too.
Meanwhile, I'm still on 2019/11.70, I'm getting the feeling that the software update part of my car is not functioning.

Ok, this will probably be received as a negative post but I've read other posts that have complained about the things that happened after the update that either were not expected or forecasted and left the owner dissatisfied. Is there anywhere you can go to see everything the update will change before installing it? Like features that have been removed or changed in what could be perceived in a negative way?
Its this statement that is concerning.. ..as we don't know what the current technical standards means and improving quality to one person may not be seen that way to another. The devil is in the details and like Apple, once installed, there's no going back. |

I feel your pain; I'm still on 7.2019.53 here on east coast US. Haha. Went to the dealer a few months ago and they put my key in this desktop dock thing and said no software available. My app says no updates either. I'm beginning to think our upgrade thing doesn't work either. Would appreciate others' insights on how to get an OTA without plugging it in at the dealer. I do drive my X5 daily. Not much but still 20-30 miles everyday.

How about just activating alexa voice in your mobile phone and ask your phone? I fail to see the magic of car based Alexa. What am I missing?

I have 2019.11 to. No update available. But I got this update ota 10 months ago. Do the system should be working. Still thinking it is because I have a android digital key active wich would not be supported anymore in 2020.07 if I understand it correctly

Well, first you have to pick up your phone from the charging cradle, unlock your phone with 4-6 digit passcode, go to your Alexa up then open the app - this while driving.

I'm only saying that I bet BMW implementation will be similar to other 3rd party devices. Meaning the integration in car will always lag behind what Amazon releases for ios and Android. I suppose we shall see.

Mine goes to the dealer on March 3rd for my summer wheels so I'll just ask them to update it.

Took a ton of work, but i got the dealer to update me to 11/2020.57. Haven't noticed anything that isn't working, but just got the car back this week after it being at the dealer for over a week for some water issues.
Ridiculous that they won't simply update the software for a under warranty vehicle. |

Updated Software
My car was in the shop for three weeks to replace a steering wheel. They damaged the replacement and had to order another one from Germany. I guess they felt the newest software was the least they could do.
I haven’t figured out Alexa and don’t really care at this point. Now to reinstall my Bimmercode settings and a new Racechip... |

Short translation : Go to the remote upgrade in bmw connected drive app (removed since a few release as far as I know). Then put the phone on the charging plate. Car should give an popup to update. Car should be fully charged. See movie with visual instructions (youtibe ??, video not available ...) so.. I asked for more info :-) |

I know of no Belgian member on 2019/11.xx has received an update yet, both the release notes of 2020/09 and 2020/11 are available to read in my account so it should be available.

So I made some screenshots that you can't download, only change a few setttings, also made a screenshot that the in car app shows no update available. So lets hope they change a trigger somewhere to release the update. I know the dealers can install it, but I don't like to waste time to go to a dealer if it can it do over the air. |

They will probably just ignore the mail as usual but you never know. Mine goes in on Wednesday to change wheels and I will ask them to update the car too but knowing dealers it will require a lot of yelling before they will do it.

My mail clearly stated that my software is so old that I don't even have Android Auto. So a solution will not come from the helpdesk if they don't even read the question I asked.
