Very Nice build. We basically have the same options but I'm going with AW and Ivory White Ext Merino interior. For the Premium Excellence Package I went with 5DN- Parking Assistant Plus w/ Surround View instead of 5DM Parking Assistant.

We had the AW in the F15 and she wants to change it up. We placed the order with SB but she may consider the MW.

Hey, I thought the Excellence package had Parking Assistant Plus. What's the difference and how much was it? I'm wondering how I missed it.

Parking Assistant Plus w/ Surround View - 5DN is a free option in the Premium Excellence Package that I found on the Cdn BMW site. From what I read and watched in videos its the latest most advanced Parking Assistant.

Thank you CdnBMW. I emailed the dealership and made the change. Thank you for the heads up. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two options but after seeing the video on it, I want it. I wish it came with remote parking. My brother has that on his 550. Comes in handy when parking the X5 in the garage.

I also asked the dealership about Acoustic Glass which the US cars can order. I have it on my new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and it's excellent compared to my previous Jeep GC.

Your Welcome.... Let me know about what your dealer says about Acoustic Glass 3KA as my dealer had no answer.

I'm also interested in the Remote Start 1CR , and not sure if its a function with my Display Key and/or the App.

Please clarify what is "SP-BLD." Is this the BMW Ultimate Care +1 Bundle? The description reads like it might be a Canada-specific variation, since 3/36 (not including wear and tear items) in the USA is included in the vehicle price.

I ask, because I bought that option, and I have NOTHING from the dealer documenting it, other than "BMW" and the negotiated price showing up on my Bill of Sale.

I expected -- and am determined to get -- more documentation on term, inclusions/exclusions, etc. I want a piece of paper that specifies the start and end date of the extended coverage, and that consumables (wear and tear items) ARE included in this purchased option.

I had a sensational buying experience, other than this one item... and it continues to irritate me.

Our package only covers for the 4 yrs, 80,000 km towards the basic oil and filter change every 14,000 km, cabin filter and brake fluid in the no charge maintenance package. Anything outside of that is at a fee.

The following is what they confirmed regarding our Canadian cars:

1) Apple CarPlay is a standard feature in the X5
2) Acoustic Glass 3KA is not available for Canada
3) Remote Start 1CR is not an option right now for Canada

But all more reason to avoid the first year of orders, as more options and varieties are added once the initial burst dies off. Also more discount is available.

I'm holding off as long as I can. They extended the lease twice. It' has to be delivered April / May. I would imagine it will get put in the system around mid Feb. So far there are no incentives on the X5.

Heading to the dealership tomorrow as my son is looking to move up from his M235 to the M2. Some good incentives to be had on the M2 which is making way to the M2 Competition.

Another Canadian order here: 40i with premium excellence with 5DM, m-sport, 2-axle air suspension, display key, 21" 741M wheels, arctic grey on black merino leather.

Until reading this thread, I hadn't realized there was the 5DM / 5DN distinction. Given the choice, I would have picked 5DN, but I needed a vehicle soon and it was hard to find the right combination of colour and options.

Excited to get back to BMW after a round trip through Subaru, Volvo and Tesla.

Got my son's M2 today and had another look at the X5 in the showroom. I'm happy I went with the Excellence Pkg.
