Well, I was "hooked" on BMW a long ways back, 1971 to be exact.

My current car is my 20th BMW, and 67th car; so I am not about to list them all for this forum. Of all the car makes in my list of 67, BMW is the most common.

Absolutely loved the MG. RWD, mid-engine, crappy English interior. Fun little ride. I bought the DS3 looking for someting that offered more comfort. It did, but it lacked soul. Traded it in for a BMW 120i to get the best of both worlds (fun+comfort). A year later I traded it in for an M235i

If I had the money, I'd ditch the M235i, buy an M2C as a daily drive and a TF 160 for the weekends.

A 2000 Honda Civic... which I got in 2010. Super reliable despite being a decade old. I drove it for 8 years and finally bought a new car.

Got hooked on BMW in 1971 with a '69 Alpine White 2002. Before that, not counting my father's '53 Buick Roadmaster (which I trashed), I drove a 1957 MGA coupe (my first car) and then a '57 Chevy Bel Aire. I'm lucky to be here to tell the tale.

I got hooked on BMWs during my early college years with the impressive e46 m3 and the awesome e39 m5. However, when I was done with school and working and finally decided to acquire an m3, the F80 was going to be out in months and my fiance only said yes to a 4 Door sports car. I was not trying to pony up for an F80 and i wanted to try that s65. The e60 m5 and its reliability issues terrify me and my wallet, while the e90 m3 just makes me nervous. The choice was clear.

Cars I have driven/owned:
MT= manual transmission

1991 Mitsubishi mirage
1989 Mitsubishi gallant MT
1990 Mitsubishi eclipse gst MT (super fun!)
1992 Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 MT (just cool)
1994 Mitsubishi VR4 Gallant MT (quirky)
2006 Hyundai Elantra MT
2011 Subaru Sti limited MT
2011 e90 m3 MT (current cruiser)
2008 Audi a4 (current dd)
2019 Acura MDX (lease- vehicle for my wife) GREAT SUV!

1994 Ford Probe GT (fun car but what a POS)
2001 Ford Mustang (v6, really no fun at all, ran ok until transmission ate rocks at 100k)
2005 Nissan 350z (base model, no anything, loved this car)
2016 BMW M235i (my first automatic)
2019 BMW M240i (learned my lesson, ordered with a manual, currently on a boat)

Got into leasing BMWs just as the residual party ended. Oh well, I think the M240i might be a long term keeper.

My first Bmw was a 2000 M coupe. It vibrated like crazy from day one. After 7 or 8 trips to the dealer and 8000mi later it turned out to be a slipped belt in the rear tire. Next was a 2003 330i cpe. Slow and boring. After a few months I traded for a 2004 Z4. Same slow motor but at least it was a convertible. Next was a 335i. Many under warrenty trips to the dealer. Gave up on BMW and got a 2013 Porsche boxter S. Loved it but wanted more power. Now have a 2015 M4. So far so good. I prefer the horsepower and torque over nimble handling of the Porsche. Although preferably wuold like to have both. Like a 911s or turbo s. But I dream on! For now, keeping the M4.

I had Infinity fx35, Toyota Highlander XU40, but BMW is better.

I also post some useful info about beautiful photos of BMW on my Instagram. Did you think of starting your blog about cars? I can tell you how to get more likes on Instagram for free
