Interior cleaning, maintenance.

Hello,

Less than a month into my new X5 and my main priority is keeping it clean and new as long as possible.

Possibly a silly question, but far as the interior, keeping a black interior dust, smudge, dirt free and otherwise looking new as I drive more and more.. . I'm wondering if there are any go to products or 'methods'...

I hastily picked up one of those Armor all multi packs at Costco when I was noticing some dust and after giving a quick wipe, it only left streaks and 'stain' and to be honest looks like shit, far worse than having not used it.

For the record its Individual Black Merino leather, a 'walknappa leather dashboard - 4M5', Piano black trim, anthracite alcantra roof liner. Comfort seats front/ventilated seats.

Gyeon Interior detailer, it's safe to use on all surfaces, it's my go to interior detailer.

Adams Total Interior Cleaner is another good product for all surfaces. Armorall wipes are always streaky and really fail on many levels.

I use ammo lather on all surfaces except piano black trim and screens where I use a light mist of invisible glass and a plus microfiber towel to gently pull dust away. The Ammo lather is just a cleaner and doesn't provide a shiny surface which is why I love it.

Thanks, NYCX5M50i - I just looked Ammo up and the lather seams pretty legit. I am not a glossy/shiny surface guy either. Would rather my interior just look brand new, not slick.

Have you used the conditioner from Ammo too? I watch the video on the link and looks pretty good.

I've never used the conditioner. yet. I use MUD TIRE GEL (once again, makes the tires look super clean. Not a crazy gloss). LATHER for interior. SPIT quick detailer (I just keep it on hand incase a bird drops some heat after a fresh wash. I don't generally touch up in-between washes. ill just wash again.) HYDRATE I use when I am drying the car. hope this helps.
