Weird Damage to Splitter

Has anyone else seen this type of damage? This is on the inside of the wheel well on the lower splitter / bumper cover. There is absolutely no marks or abrasions on the bottom of if, not even a scuff on the PPF.

The damage has come from the inside of the wheel well somehow. It's happening on both sides. I can't wrap my head around what this would be... You would think maybe it chipped by being bottomed out or scraped but there would be marks on the underside.

Almost looks as though if backing out and the front end caught slightly on a curb between a turned tires and the front end?? Very strange indeed.

It's just odd that it's both sides. The passenger side isn't as bad but it's nearly identical in size and shape. It was at the dealership this week and I'm starting to feel like I haven't heard the entire story.

Never hurts to stop in and show them, or just ask. I agree very strange its identical, crap it could be from delivery say getting off the truck.

I sent my SA a note this morning just casually inquiring. It's been in and out of the shop with suspension issues.

Wasn't delivery related I washed it last weekend and it wasn't there and the damage tore the PPF that was wrapped on the inside of the splitter.

Looks like some sort of tire rub at full lock. Are you running spacers or something non stock? It was definitely something related to moving contact from inside the wheel well.

Another possibility would be that something got wrapped around the front tires, but I wouldn't expect the scuff marks to be that limited. There would most likely be marks everywhere if that was the case.

Factory wheels and rubber. Only has 500 miles... I went ahead and ordered a new trim piece and will keep an eye on it.

Will take 3-4 weeks to get here from Germany.

It looks like a tie strap used during towing rubs on it during transport.
