21 vs 22 inch wheels on 2024 x6

from what i heard its very difficult to find 21" all season wheel tires
and the only brand that carry such tires is prielli
is it better to go with the 22inch for that reason as its easier to find ?

If you are using easier to find for all seasons as your criteria then it would be best to go with the 20's. Why are you wanting to go with the 21's or 22's? The answer to that will likely lead you to the wheels to choose.

Same situation with 22 inch.
I tried to see what kind of tires are available on tire rack and america's tire. There are very limited selection only and most of them are on backorder.
My car is going to be in trouble if anything happens to the current tires...

I had this discussion with this forum just couple weeks ago for my x6 m60i and I've decided on 20's.

I had normal profile tires in the beginning of my car career and then wanted the look of the low profiles. Then I went on to have low profiles on the last few vehicles and I'm going back to "normal profile" wheel set up. Much easier to maintain rims, better ride quality, larger choice of tires, and the benefit just goes on and on.
There's no doubt low profiles look awesome and it's always tempting when you get a new vehicle.

It seems some member also feel the same way where normal -> large wheel/low profiles -> back to normal set up

My x5 came with 22 I have had two tires replaced due to nails and they are conti brand tires dealer can get them with in a day never a problem also I will add they are non run flat tires and I much prefer that over the other option of rft for not a harsh ride Just personal preference.

Michelin Defender LTX M/S has 21" and 22" tires, and you might be able to find the right size combo in 22" for a staggered setup if that's what you need. Defenders are great tires, and are reasonably decent in winter when they have at least 50% tread remaining, and if you're not cutting trails through upstate.

Still, I think 20" is a better route. Much more to choose from, much better pricing, much better ride, much better availability.

BTW -- not run-flats.

It’s all personal but to me the 20s look too small the car needs 22s there’s too much fender gap. I’m actually considering lowering mine with the 22s because I can’t stand the gap that’s between those.

Don’t ever buy 21s there’s no availability in tires very slim pickings

It is just in your head/perception, the 20's fill the wheel well more than the 22's since they have a larger circumference.

This is exactly correct! I downsized from the 22" staggered OE setup to 20" squared-up 275/50R20's (non-runflats). The 20" setup is 4mm larger in diameter, meaning the fender clearance difference is 2mm (about 1/10" less than OE). The odo/speedo error that results is about 0.5%, which is less than a tire develops over its tread wear life.

I ordered non OEM Michelin Primacy Tour AS (275/45/21, 315,40,21) from discount tire and having them put in tomorrow. There is a big thread about multiple people doing this on G05/06 without any rubbing or problems with xDrive.

It’s probably a visual aspect. Truly, I like the larger wheel.
