I have 03/2019.48 software is there a newer and better release yet I am hoping the next one will be the one that addresses the problems that most of us deal with on a daily basis.

Yes here are newer versions - a quick search of the forum is a good place to start...

Which issues are you still living with on 03/2019.48?

I am having issues with the following:

1 Cross traffic warnings front and rear
2 lane keeping very violent even on the lowest setting
3 Apple carplay connecting -locking up/unable to change music selections and display of map
4 Bluetooth connecting and staying connected
5 Ping Ponging back and forth in the lane while having Adaptive Cruise
set

1, 2 & 5 might be related to a bad KAFAS camera. What date is your build?

Part of it anyway they have replaced Kafas camera when they updated the car to 03/2019.48

Make sure your lane keeping assist is set to "Early".

03/2019.60 is what I got last week. Not much changed and most issues still unresolved.

When was your car built? I have all the same issues on .37 software.

BMW typically releases "major" istep upgrades in March, July and November each year.

Mine was updated yesterday (for the first time since purchase in December). I think I had 11/2018 .48 and now I have 3/2019 .60
My update was done yesterday at the dealer.

I have read that some dealers charge for the software update, any issues ?

No reputable dealer will charge a customer for an istep upgrade on a 2019 G05. There's been so many issues with software, they're used to customer satisfaction complaints. BMW reimburses them for the time to do the work.

Just identify to them some of the quirks you experience with the car.

It was not available to the largest dealer in DC area on 7/13/19

I would want to question one premise in the OP, namely that newer update means better. This board gives ample testimony to knowing when to ug and when to wait to resolve issues of various kinds.

Not everyone has the same problems as many new ones have been introduced along the way with these updates. I am running original Nov software and its been rather stable. A few iDrive reboots but everything works in my X5 except cornering lights which is not a priority. I am avoiding any updates until I have seen it is really a advancement to the system. My Android Note 8 is rock solid with its integration with iD7 other than I cant use it as a key yet.

I have .44 which hasn’t changed since I picked up the car on June 7.

The documentation explains that your car doesn’t receive every update, only when your system determines that it needs it. My car is working fine. I think if you ask for the dealer to update when the car isn’t looking for it, you are asking for trouble

Sounds like some/most of your issues could be the settings. Except CarPlay - everyone seems to have trouble with that. I just use Bluetooth, which has worked fine for the most part.

The settings are funky and not intuitive. Search the forum for your specific issues, that could be helpful.
