Driver Profiles
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com What options are available to configure all available settings unique to a driver, and have the vehicle move to those settings upon starting the vehicle? And obviously, would need the car to remember multiple driver profiles. Can the car recognize the driver by unique key fob, or smartphone in the charger? Can these programmable buttons I've read about be assigned to remember ALL settings?

I can't speak to all settings, but just going on what folks have said here plus the owners manual:
1. Driver profiles can be recognized from the key fob or digital key. 2. Auto start / stop and driving modes cannot be saved. Auto start / stop is automatically set to "on" unless you either (i) turn it off each time, (ii) drive in sport mode or (iii) have the transmission in S or M mode (this is different from the F15 and a bit annoying). Driving mode defaults to comfort each time so needs to be manually changed (same as the F15 and, I think, every other BMW). However, if you have Sport individual settings, those will be remembered in the profile if you switch to that driving mode. 3. Confirmed settings that can be saved per the owners manual are (some of these are country dependent): door locking / unlocking (e.g., what doors lock / unlock and whether there is a sound), auto folding mirrors, tailgate height, whether upper and lower tailgate opens, seat adjustments, HUD on / off and HUD position adjustments and steering wheel position. There are probably others (especially with respect to media settings), but there is no central place in the owners manual that has everything but those are the ones that I've noticed while skimming though. |

What is auto start\stop? Is that where the car shuts down at lights and starts back up when you hit the gas?

Your profile is stored in the cloud. In theory, you could get into a G05 X5, M850i, or G20 and import your profile.

Lane Keep Settings
Can someone please confirm is the lane keep deactivation can be stored in driver profile? I couldn't for some reason so each time I have manually disable lane keep- it's so annoying.

You may have had your answer but if not, you can use the intelligent safety button (just above the temperature display) and configure BMW individual settings. Mine (lane departure being disabled) stays after the vehicle is restarted with the button lit orange instead of green indicating that some safety features are disabled.
