What is the fixed number above invoice?

I confirmed with my dealer that these can now be ordered. He said I am the only one that has asked about it and he was surprised to see that ordering has been open a while.

It doesn't seem like people are beating down the doors to order these. As such, no reason to pay anything near invoice. Start at 10% off sticker!
is that what tou were given before incentives?

Right now the best I found was invoice actually. Most dealers are giving me the same run around. "The car isn't out yet, but we know there will be a high demand and as such will be selling close to MSRP for a while"

Such BS any dealer using that line - demand will be no different than the 50i - possibly less given that they kept the 50i in the lineup. Now, V8 buyers will be split between the 50i and M50i. However, even if demand is huge, the production numbers are not limited. Allocations might be limited initially but those will be quickly adjusted to meet demand. Bottom line, target invoice pricing on these things. I would also expect the residual to be exactly the same as the 40i just as it is with the X3. There is absolutely, positively nothing whatsoever unique or special about this car to command MSRP pricing.

I agree with The J-man....

Target invoice is always a great place to start. During my convo I was asked what do you wanna pay for the X5. I simply said no more than invoice. He came out showed me invoice data sheet which actually had all his X5's on the lot mine was highlighted. It was about 8% below MSRP and I thought fair deal bought it.

You can look up invoice prices on sites like kbb.com and edmunds. I found them helpful when I was negotiating.

I was always told they are not very accurate sometimes due to options ect... I guess I haven't tried to verify those numbers yet though. That would be a good test next time. That is why I always ask, i've never had anyone refuse.

The best were the pdfs that usually circulate around from BMW NA with invoice and dealer cost for options. Haven't seen one for the M50 yet.

I wouldn’t put a lot of faith in the accuracy of those sites either, particularly on the options, but they can be helpful. My CA seemed a little surprised that he was giving me a lower price than the “good deal” on one of those sites. But he still went lower. I added a few things just before the car went into production, and he didn’t increase the price I paid.

All together I got about 9.3% off MSRP, before the CCA rebate, but he was offering more on higher-priced cars in stock. That was when I ordered in May.

I would think you could get very good deals on 2019 x5s ordered during July, or off the lot, but the 2020s will cost more. Probably a lot more for at least a few months.

Theres really only about a month of inventory on the dealer lots at any one time. The 2020s won't cost more. It's a pretty natural and smooth transition into a new model year. They might add a few thousand more in incentives to the 2019s but I would guess you can buy a 2020 in August for about the same price you would have paid for a 2019 in May, for example.

I ordered in early May and got more than 9%off MSRP after incentives. I would think 2020s will be priced a bit more stiffly, at least for a few months.

The market would support that, since so many people wait a year to buy after a major re-design. Or, if they jack up the MSRPs a little, they might still be willing to offer substantial discounts simply because the price is higher.

I know at least one option will double in price - the acoustic glass. It won’t surprise me if they jack up prices on a few other items that have been popular with 2019 orders.

It will be interesting to watch and see what happens!

So my dealership said they called their regional manager about slots for the x5 m50 and were told no slots until early 2020. What are other folks being told if they are placing orders?!?

I've been told by several dealers that ordering is open now for August production, and every dealer I've spoken to has plenty of allocations.

So weird. I just called 5 dealerships, some rather large in California and Oregon; every single one says no. "Dealerships could take orders and stuff but there is nothing in the system to actually put it into the system; there are no actual builds for them."

The last guy said "Mid August will start the builds; no allocations to actually place orders until mid-July or end of July".

List isn't too bad for the car considering its nicer than my 19 svr and cheaper. The x5m even with extended warranty has been non stop to the dealer for recalls and fixes 87k miles so far. Would of taken a x5m if it was available lol

4% off? What do you think? Seems pretty high.

Agree, not great. That is not including any incentives, which there should be some by September delivery.

Exec package, dynamic handling, glass, accousitic glass, upgraded audio etc..

Allocation was for first week of August with performance center delivery.

Anyone else order the m50i yet ?
Congrats!

the white/blue combination is a gem. Haven't seen any on an X5 though, but sure looks great on the X7.

Now includes both rear passenger windows as well as front side. Wasn't even an option in our US Audis, but included in European models.

Pretty sure my rear windows are acoustic glass as well. I'll check them in a little bit and see.

German configurator states it is for the side windows reducing noise levels for all passengers, so looks like both front and rear side windows. Didn't tick that box though on my M50i order (delivery in Feb 2020) though, for 600 euro I guess I should have.
