Towhook and 22"

Anybody knows why you can't choose the 22" in combination with the towhook in the configurator ?

When I order my X5 i'd like to put on after market 22" rims but i'd like a towhook to...

My car has the OEM 22" wheels and tow hook. Don't see why it would be an issue!

But if you're going aftermarket wheels, then who cares what the configurator online says. Get the hook up and go buy the aftermarket 22s

OP is in Europe and they get the "tow hook". Initial responder is in North America and gets the "tow hitch/receiver". You are not discussing the same component, but it's not your faults, BMW has created confusion with different towing options for different regions.

As to OP's question, I can't help, I am in North America as well and was doing my damndest at order-time to avoid the European "tow hook" as it would be unusable, in North America at least.

Nice car. How does it ride on the 22"? I'm looking at the M40i (uk) and have found a nice one with 22" but I'm just concerned the ride quality might be impacted a bit. M50D looks like a beast of a car though!

I guess you're looking at the X5 45e?

Tow hook and 22" will probably be >50gr CO2...

Yes I'm looking for the 45e and using the Belgium configurator. If you take the tow hook and choose 22" you will get a conflict and have to choose.
I contacted sales and the problem is the maximum pressure for the tires. I guess in combination with the heavy batteries ? I have an appointment with the dealer Friday, will ask more info then :-)

Probably I take the 20", if possible with winter tires, and will mount 22" or bigger after I have the car (really like the Hamann's)

The car rides absolutely fine with the 22"s, as long as you have the full air suspension I believe.

Obviously the 20" or 21" option will add a bit more comfort but you can't compare the appearance and overall look of the G05 X5 with 22's

Thanks. Best car I ever had. I have the full air suspension and in comfort it is soft. Much firmer in sport

But I think the ride is just fine with 22 with other suspension options. They are not runflats and the overall size is much larger than on previous X5 so there is still plenty of rubber.

When I select the towing hook on 45e (Europe), the performance breaking set also gets removed (besides the 22”). I just use the hitch for a bike rack.

Beautiful — do you know the style number of those 22's? They don't look like what was available when I built mine.
