Does the new X5 “aluminum tetragon” trim make you feel dizzy?

I chose the M Sports package on MY 2020 X5 so Aluminum tetragon trim was default. Looking at online videos and pictures, it seems like that particular pattern is busy, making me slightly dizzy when staring at it for a few seconds. I’m now debating between this trim and the regular aluminum dark mesh trim. Thoughts?

We went with the mesheffect trim, which I love. It has a nice feeling to it as you can feel the mesh and it also doesnt get scratched or dusty like the piano black and gloss wood does.

I am glad I didn't go for the tetragon, as it does irritate me when I look at new models at the dealer.

I have an aluminum tetragon. I was thiniking about ir a lot. It’s great, I wouldn’t change it. It’s not boring (sorry, but I think that mesh is boring and looks cheap) . Anyone who sees tetragon for the first time says "wow, how it fits nicely". I’ve got coffee seats. but beware - it slightly falls into the olive, so, for example, cognac or tatuffo seats will not be a good choice. brown, ivory, black - these will be ok.

I fully agree with your post about looking at pics online, it does make it look dizzy. The Wife has it in her X3 and in person its great visual! But always recommend trying to find one and sit in it before you buy no matter what option.

I'm happy with my aluminum tetragon. I almost decided not to get it based on the pictures available online but it is much better in person.

I've ordered the mesh trim. Really wasn't sure what to go for until I saw it on a car in the showroom. Looks good with the black leather, but what swung it for me was the texture - it does actually feel like a mesh, whereas the tetragon is flat and almost feels like a blackboard.
